I'm having my Two Face customized by monkeyrobotmaster. I asked for it to be non movie accurate, and have burns on the pants and more on the jacket than in the movie. Can't wait to get it!

Thanks void. :)

Now the question is: how do I achieve that look?

:lol

I mean how do I stain the pants?

I already have one of Seb's custom burnt jackets.

Dilute some black acrylic paint and brush it on, let it dry and keep doing that so it gives a layered affect were it's darker in some spots and lighter in others. I'd also do the same with a little burnt umber. You can use a blow dryer to help speed up the drying time too. That's what I did on mine and it worked out well.

thats what i'll be doing, ive already started the oil stains. thanks for the pictures everyone!

The lining of Dent's jacket is red and the holes are where the suit got burned through and the lining is showing.

If you go through the last scene with Dent and Batman you can see the lining of the jacket as Batman tackles him off the side of the building.

I believe it's the only time you ever see the inside of Dent's suit jacket, and it's only for a second as they topple off the building.

Ah, awesome, so there IS an explanation!

I always wrote it off as an excusable little bit of movie magic from Mr. Nolan

Not really. You show me a tailor who lines the bottom of his lapels with the same fabric as he lines the inside of his jackets and I'll show you a tailor who hasn't got a clue what he's doing.

Yes the jacket being lined in red silk does explain some of it. However, I agree the lapel was excessive, but I'm sure it was intended to look like a continuation of his burnt flesh.

Kind of annoys me how wrong Hot Toys got the burnt side of the suit. If they had got it 100% accurate then the articulation for the arm on that side would have been greatly improved since there's no scarring there in the film.
As it stands now it's difficult to raise that arm on the burnt side without it looking goofy or pulling the collar up too much.

I never owned Two Face so I'm not sure but would it be possible to customise the non damaged jacket to make it appear burnt? I'm guessing this jacket is thinner and would therefore improve articulation and not bunch up so much by his neck.

Sfa your sigs just keep getting better and better!

^ Thanks! :D
yeah, the unscarred jacket is somewhat thinner and would probably look great if customised well.
Might have to give it a try myself sometime...

A number of guys have done that all ready, just go back a few pages on this thread and you'll find pics. I know Elvis and I both did our own version of a more screen accurate jacket and pants.
