I'm not saying theyre perfect either but as you said given the options, it's great. Not every piece is a winner you have to make due with what you get and we just hold them to too high a standard sometimes. If we had gotten Harvey before Bank Robber Joker, I think the complaints would be far less.

Possibly.. but speaking strictly for myself, MY complaints would've been exactly the same. The ugly seam on the thumb, the coin being too small, the tie looking kinda wonky, the burned coat looking wonky, the gun looking overly cheap, the burned side of the face being too "full" and too black.. I would've said the same exact stuff and I still would've passed. It still looks better than every other 1/6 scale figure of that character, but again given the competition, that isn't really saying much. For me, it's the prices that make my complaints valid. If this cost like $70 bucks I could easily overlook those complaints. Hell I'd buy one right now for that price. But these figures are getting more and more expensive.. and it's getting harder and harder for me to look past things that bug me about them. That's just me though.. to each his own.

Yup they should stop rushing and take some time and analyst it good, look at the iron man figure it looks awesome, and why because they took there time i rather wait and have something good. People are paying 200 dollars or more, they deserved something near perfect. But since the competitor suck people are pleased with it because nothing comes near it.

The sculptor for the Burnt two face was an American, I'm assuming Hot Toys had nothing to do with the accuracy of the burnt head if they did good with the other head.

Until an official name is released.. that story holds no weight. We've all heard that.. so why the secrecy NOW? It's released already. Seems like a cover story to avoid any complaints about that side. Funny part is, it's the PAINT more so than the sculpt that's the issue. Did an American paint half the head!? lol.

I'll be sending my review into Michael tomorrow, here's a few of the pics I took for it last night, just an amazing figure1-

Yeah the sculpt seems fine, but if they could paint it to give it more of a charcoal look it would be perfect.

And if they can make the scarred side more damage, make the eye hole smaller, and actally make the dress shirt burned.

Awesome Wookster, I had to fake this effect, where'd you come by a mirror that small? Looking forward to your review.

I'm not sure what more damage you're looking for, if anything I think they went a bit too far with some of it, deep gauges in the area towards the front of his face.

As far as the portrait, and these are points I'll be trying to tweak on my modded head, the differences I see are:

-Not enough remnant flesh on the burn side and what's their is a hair too bright red.
-Eye socket should be tighter to the eye.
-Transition from flesh to burn should be more uneven
-Burn scarring should be as deep in places

While that looks like quite a list, I'd say those things are small points to be off on and the more critical ones were hit on.

As for the shirt, while it would have been nice to get 2 shirts, I don't fault HT because it's more rare than common to get a fully inclusive figure, they cheaped to have the shirt work for Harvey or Two-Face instead of one for each.

Cheers Shaun, from the resident photo-guy around here that is praise indeed, The mirror was my wifes, I asked if she had a small one (mirror c'mon minds out of the gutter) and like many mothers she went to her sewing box and out came just what I needed!
I'm hopeing if Michael has a slot it'll go up soon, but I've already sent in a couple of others.

I like that you sort of went outside of the film persona with your images and represent the duality of the character more. I love what Nolan did, but I think it would have been darker and more emotional if they made Two-Face a prominent character in a movie and dealt with inner turmoil over conflicting wants in a situation. Nolan's Two-Face basically saw two options in every situation and left it to the coin to decide where to go, I always like the idea that Two-Face had two things he wanted to do and the coin was a matter of which persona would win out. I hoped for mirror shots and things like that in TDK when I first heard Two-Face would be in it. I like the idea of Harvey in a dim room with only light on the clean side of his face and something like lightining occassionally revealing his scarring and seeing it only blurred in a far off mirror, which was the inspiration for the mirror graphic I did.

I trust in your modded head already, you've been staring at the artwork of Dent's scarred face to know how to fix it.
If only Hot toys delayed Dent until they knew what he actually looked like in the movie.

I dont get it why people are bashing Harvey figure. From what I've seen it's amazing. And if you ask me, very film acurate.

Well, presumably, they had an American sculptor do the damage because WB was willing to let a product made but didn't want the reference images out to be leaked onto the net so they told HT send the Eckhart head to us and we'll have one of our people do it. In that scenario, there's little reason for HT to think that WB wouldn't do it in a fully accurrate manner, so when they get it back, they're left to assume it's good to go and procede with production. Given the time between TF's debut and shipping, he had to have been in early production just around the movie's release, so by the time we got our reference images to them, the most they could do is ammend the paint apps a bit, and the paint apps reflect the reference images mixed with the sculpt. The lack of more flesh is because we didn't have quality screens showing the full head, if we'd had that and sent it to them, they may have done more.

I think Two-Face wasn't rushed, but fell victim to circumstances HT couldn't have forseen. Between the encompassing nature of this figure and sales, HT won't redo this figure new and improved so this is it, this Hot Toys or Medicom are your options for a 1/6 movie Two-Face. Really, for the minor nits with the figure, all in all it's so cool to have him and the figure embodies Two-Face even if not catching every last detail.

I genuinely endorse buying it if you liked Two-Face played by Eckhart.

In my most humble of opinions this is pretty spot on, I think it's our job as collectors and fan-boy pedants to point out what can be improved, but from watching the movie three times (no I didn't freeze frame) and looking at a few photos (I didn't scutinise with a linen tester) this is Harvey Dent, this is Two-Face and its definetly Aaron Eckhart playing that part, it'll look killer on any shelf.

And cheers blakus, I thought the same thing. It's an old trick us illustrators use, if ever anything is not quite right with a traditional sketch or illustration, if you hold it up in front of a mirror the faults always jump out at you. It's especially good when drawing faces.

Great pictures Wookster... really looking forward to the review. Sadly a lot of us won't be seeing this figure till Summer :monkey2

Haha, thats much better than the scenario that I believed
"Yulli thought the burned head was too disgusting and refused to do it!"
