Rises was so BORING. Nolan is massivly overrated, don't get me wrong. But his batman movies have gotten worse with each release. inception is the same...another crappy movie:lol.

It's funny that when anything becomes popular and achieves success, it's automatically shrugged off as being as "overrated" by some. And, it's not just the Nolan movies that get labeled that way, but anything that becomes a financial success. I would like to know the reasoning behind this type of mentality.

I'm sorry, but if "OMGZ Nolan movies are overrated and boring!!" is your only argument - then, you need to go back and work on your argument skills :monkey1.

The truth is obviously somewhere in the middle of "TDKR sucks" and "TDKR is one of the 5-10 best films of all time".

You just can't even take seriously the opinions of such extremes.

Well one persons masterpiece is another's flop, I still don't get what's so great about Citizen Kane for example :lol

But interesting to note how high TDKR currently is tracking here
https://www.imdb.com/chart/top?mode=desktop

It will fall inevitably as more votes accumulate - but the 200k votes already accrued is a significant amount

It's actually nothing unusual. You can't say something is overrated if no one liked it. Then you just say it is bad or lackluster. Saying something is overrated means it is not deserving of its popularity or positive reception. It is a valid critique one can make and is only valid when something is highly rated or popular. What's the problem?

As for argument making, it's not like anyone else has bothered. I said it was the worst Nolan film I have seen and my response was random laughing gifs and smileys or people acting shocked or thinking I'm crazy. Where's the argument there? Supply an argument if you want one.

There is no argument because there's nothing to argue. It's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. After all, opinions are like ___holes; everybody's got one, and, occasionally, they stink :wink1: (but that's just my opinion).

It's not a valid critique, but more along the lines of a blatant generalization that people are rating a movie too highly, and moreover, that a movie itself isn't deserving of its critical acclaim or financial success. That's the problem.

If you want a valid critique about something, then do it. Take the logical approach and state what you like/dislike, and what could have been done better. Or, you can just drop a few emotocons and say that "I though it sucks" - that's okay too. But, I've seen "OMGZ that was so overrated" dropped many times in forums, that it gets annoying seeing it mentioned over and over again, to the point of ad nauseam.

TDKR sucks but it is also one of the 5-10 best films of all time. Maybe. 50% sure of that. Though there's a 30% chance that's wrong. Half of the time.

So we can expect Hot Toys haters to appear any time soon? :monkey1

I'm getting it. I hope they tweak the cowl head to show more of the face, but i doubt it, seeing thats how their 1/6 looks like.

I actually plan on having the Wayne sculpt on holding the mask. Giving the figure a Mask theme. Joker, Bane, Scarecrow, and Batman.
