I think the 1:4 scale chins are great but youre right that the 1:6 ones are very different and too rounded for most scenes. They look similar to the photo below though so not technically inaccurate just a bit specific.Definitely the most accurate for sure. I’m happy there’s someone like you who can solve these issues no idea why hot toys can’t seem to fix them.
Almost every picture I’ve compared that hot toys forehead just really goes out of proportion.. it doesn’t even fit in the picture lol. Based on your 1/4 you already fixed the issue so cheers on that mate you’ve done this community justice haha.
The stock eyes seem pretty good especially with low lighting it makes it seem smaller than it is.
The only thing is bales chin is actually bigger and has a different shape (more linear) than the rounded version hot toys designed. (2nd pic) if ever it’s easier to just make a new headsculpt for us to paint I’m sure many will buy it.
Best of luck to these projects man whatever you make it will be worth it I think the 1:4 chins are quite nice but the new DX19 ones are odd, very rounded and strange. I plan to make a 1:6 cowl available with
I’ve never been more excited about a project
After seeing all of these great posts, I couldn't stand it anymore, so I finally unboxed mine tonight and popped on the unreal customs head and cape that finally came last week.

It's a fantastic figure.
Thanks - those eyes were one of the big attractions for me too. I really wanted more of a look where he looked like he was ready to tear into someone, rather than the HT "hey, how's it going?" look. That mouthplate also goes a long way too. That custom head is awesome man. Especially in those squinty eyes, which is my biggest pet peeve with HT’s Batman head sculpts which are always too doe eyed.
Perfection! Why couldn't HT do that. After seeing all of these great posts, I couldn't stand it anymore, so I finally unboxed mine tonight and popped on the unreal customs head and cape that finally came last week.

I've got that begins sculpt from Lucky, as well. It's another awesome sculpt.I'm getting a really strong Begins vibe from this sculpt. I wonder if Unreal used this shot as a starting point?

I completely get it about the pricing, but I'm a huge Nolan trilogy fan, so I convinced myself to "buy once cry once"that is a fantastic sculpt
I remember asking him about the sculpt but 300+shipping was definitely a no go for me , I mean that was what I pay for the second hand QS001, so in the end I convince myself that the stock cowl its not that bad
Is that Begins sculpt 1/6 or 1/4 scale?I've got that begins sculpt from Lucky, as well. It's another awesome sculpt.

I'm not sure which sculpt came first, but I always thought this might have been some of the inspiration for the TDK version, at least for the eyes:

I've also noticed that his new faceplate has a good deal more detail than the HT one, like he's clenching his teeth. It all goes towards that angry look that I really wanted.
Can't go wrong with an angry batman - he's called the dark knight for a reason
Assuming HT doesn't fix the cowl before release I'm gonna need one of these for the Begins figure.
Supposedly, sideshow indicates they're shipping in the July - September timeframe, so I doubt they're making any changes.Assuming HT doesn't fix the cowl before release I'm gonna need one of these for the Begins figure.
Looks perfect! and those shoulder pads wow.. so excited to see this in 1/6This is really a collecting dream come true for me. Unquestionable accuracy and screen lineage. Now I just have to make one for all my copies in 1:6 and 1:4…
