Looking at the promo though, looks like that elbow's sculpted which means it is an entire arm.

Unless it's like Wolverine as far as attaching the forarm to the bicep.

Agen's photo from the Wolverine thread.

It's probably not, but a fully removable arm isn't necessary, and it's not in the best interest of the figure if it's a modded Dutch arm. Even the Marcus Wrigh arms aren't as nicely posable as a regular TT, but they're better than previous muscle arms.

Marcus was a vast improvement over the regular muscle-type body. Not only do the shoulders mock the design of Dutch's which gives him considerably more poseability, but the elbows actually have joints inside, vs. the thin metal flanges of the standard muscle bodies. The issue I take with the Wolverine body is that you'll never get Arnold into a good pose with the shotgun on his shoulder using that body. They sacrificed the 2nd elbow joint for aesthetic reasons, which IMO was a big mistake.

That reminds me of something else I don't like on the Dutch body. On the Rambo bodies, the Rocky bodies, even Marcus Wright, you can rotate the arms at the bicep, not a lot but it still helps with gun poses if you're stuck using that body, Dutch's arms only pose at the elbow and shoulder, complicating trying to move he left hand over to support the gun with it in his right for firing. No muscle body works as nicely as standard body, but the Dutch one is the most immobile of them all to me.

You, sir, are incorrect! Dutch will pose the same way. That was my very first concern with all the rumors about it, but when I got him in hand, they proved to be just that. The metal flanges will bend side to side as well. Add the articulated shoulders and before Marcus, he was the most poseable rubber muscle body HT produced.

Yeah, as nice as some of these realistic things with the exposed bodies are, I think some things that make it posable should be retained, to me, the point of figures is that you can make them posed however you want compared to statues, but with some of these bodies that try to blur the visual differences between statue and figure, you also lose the posability that defines it as a figure. I like how the Rambos look, but you can't get a good bow firing pose out of the body, and the closes thing gets very risky of ripping the rubber at the armpit.

True. I really wish they'd just molded muscle plastic pieces to dress up the TT vs. use the rubber bodies. If I want aesthetics over articulation, I'll buy a PF or a dio.

Wow, whatta Feldman. Isn't it sad that we're discussing high-end collectibles and your posting pics of cheap kiddie crap? :lol

Mine won't, at least when I try, it feels like I'm going to break the arm so I stop. I've always had an easy time with 3 Rambos, Rocky and Marcus, I just assumed Dutch couldn't because it didn't easily happen.

Nam, it really isn't cheap kiddie crap, mate.

It's a great quality figure, bears a striking resembalance to Arnold in both body and face. Don't just dismiss it because it's a Plastic figure with limited poseability, and it's made by Neca.

Not getting on your case like, but do you actually own the figure? Or have you seen it in hand? Every T2 fan should give it a look at. It's one of my favourite figures, it stands up well against any 1/6 scale figures from other manufacturers.

Well, I have my fingers crossed that this new holiday prize TT is a sign of things to come. I don't like the RAH body at all, but I do give Medicom credit for their method of using one base body and adding bits to it to create various body types.

What's sad is the amount of posts from the same people saying the same thing because of one photo. All talk and no pics makes for a sad thread.

To me that shows the committment of folks, if one glimpse gets you all excited, and at least for me, it's excitment, and speculating things while on edge to get the facts, that's good stuff. Just like the Emperor thread before the official images showed up, one preview and some of us got ecstatic and went on a tear.

Seems like the best way to get the most out of parts. It would seem far more cost effective to create, say, a chest plate that snaps on to the Standard TT rather than an entire rubber body...

Yeah, I'm not familiar with the video game, but I wonder if the Dutch body really was the right call for the Redfield figure, or if HT just used it to get more mileage out of the Dutch body.

Have faith. It'll bend. I have my Dutch with the M16 slung over his back and his other hand bent in front of him, holding the cigar. This pose requires both arms to be bent inward at the elbow.

It was bought for me for my birthday and then later given to my nephew. The sculpt was "rough" though it did look like Arnie. It just looked unfinished. Additionally, I'm just not fond of sculpted clothes for collectibles I intend to display together. They stand out considerably even against something as old as Sideshow's T2. Fine for a comiquette or standard statue, but not for 12" figures. I'm already annoyed that this is the route I may have to go if I'm ever going to have a remake Jason in my collection.

Chris is huge in RE and they do seem to show alot of close ups on his arms in the game :lol I think everyone expected hot toys to use the Dutch body but like most collectors I would have rather had a poseable version.
In fact the rubber body is what stopped me buying it and bringing me to the decision to sell the RE Leon too.
Rubber bodies suck !. :emperor:D
