But doesn't that effectively kill head articulation?

F-that, right?

I'm thankful the kneck seem on figs doesn't ever trigger me. I definitely understand it, tho.
Not really. Can still get a decent range of motion from the figures I have where it's one piece and the realism is 100% better.

It's not like he needs Superman levels of head articulation to pull of flying poses.

Eh..

A T800 Arnie definitely needs full range of articulation in the kneck imo.

I think about a shot of him standing sideways, pointing his shotgun with one arm at something/someone.

Ain't no one piece head/kneck gonna pull that pose off realistically because of the lack of range in kneck articulation.

Nah, I don't want one piece head/kneck for this figure.

Honestly had no intention of doing this but somehow I found myself doing some redrawing. If you save these to your computer you can open them in a photo-browser and cycle back & forth to see the alterations....for whatever it's worth. Not necessarily perfect but I'm going to say certainly better.

- pulled the face down below the nose (nose and mouth were too close together)
- redrew upper lip to look more like the above movie reference
- narrowed face at the cheekbones and temples
- adjusted hairline on temples and made forehead taller
- reduced mid-forehead crease
- changed hair silhouette (because of course I had to)
- adjusted sunglasses - possibly still a bit sticky uppy on top corners
- gave him eyebrows just above the sunglasses rims
- somewhat redrew the nose to look less bulbous (tricky that, I'm no expert on light and shade so I probably haven't nailed it)
- had to add a bit of thickness to neck (on one side only per this particular photo and angle)

credit to @EndoSickness regarding upper lip and nose - I initially didn't see those as being wrong, I was focused on the general shape of his face/head

credit also to @Dave_W for his useful image comparison - and he also noticed the bulbous nose

Are you under the impression that the forehead dent is only from harsh lighting? Because I'm begining to think so, myself.

Your Edit is great but you didn't go hard enough imo.

It's hard to tell without having a proper sideview of the sculpt. It could literally just be a sculpted forehead wrinkle - and I'm pretty sure there should be a forehead line - I just opted to make it less expansive, limit it more to the middle rather than stretching all the way from one side to the other.

And if we're not just talking about a mere expression line he does have certain bumpiness to his forehead

Amazing work man and now I can’t unsee this.

Whilst I sincerely doubt there are any chances of updates if HT stick to their planned ETA on this, bombard them!

Oh it's absolutely supposed to be there. It's just overly pronounced, to a degree that I think is only seen because of the lighting.

I'm starting to think it's a non-issue in regular or natural light conditions. There's no way they'd not see that and adjust it.

I think it's another case of awful product/blogger pics. I hope..

And that’s what I’ve been waiting for great job Andrew! 🍻
This needs to be shown to the guy that freaking sculpted it, so he can fix it! Seems like the same old issues over and over that never get resolved, but here we are again 10 yrs later. I wish HT would hire you as a consultant for their Terminator line.

This is a fantastic FIX!!!

Sadly, HT will not do this much work -- especially after the approval process. Happily, this justifies me NOT buying this figure.

I mean, no. Look at the sculpt as is. Lot of work went into that. It's done. What you see is what you're getting. I'll eat my boot if they actually refine this sculpt in any way whatsoever.
