I just realized what those horrible rubber elbows, knees and shoulders reminded me of: Major Matt Mason.

The rubber at the elbows and knees really does look problematic. Even if it doesn't break down it just looks like it'll get unsightly kinks in it pretty quickly.

These new stormtroopers look badass imo.

Really digging them more than the original...

But i want the chrime trooper. The one with the cape? Id preorder instantly

This pauldron color thing is easy to explain. It's just JJ bringing a little Trek to SW. TOS had officers in gold and red being cannon fodder. Skip to TNG and it was the reverse. Really wouldn't surprise me if it was as simple as this given the SW references JJ threw in his Star Trek movies.

Gotta admit it, Ducktrooper - maybe, Kylo Ren - maybe, Heavy Blaster trooper - most probably, Captain Phasma - absolutely positively definitely YES!

I wonder if Phasma will have diecast armour? Just a thought. [emoji6]

Well I hope that HT don't go down the diecast route as the additional cost will push this figure out of my price range (I only buy two 1/6 figures a year due to the cost, when I started buying them they only cost me £120 including shipping to the UK plus the import tax of £20) Now it's DOUBLE that!

I hope not. The character doesn't need the extra weight on her joints and I imagine the armor this character is wearing wouldn't be heavy. I would think it would be made out of some lightweight but durable alloy. These aren't the middle ages.

I don't think it'd really be any different that the "chrome" on Jango.

If it's actually chrome in the movie, it's not terribly difficult to make chromed plastic parts for the figure. It might look cheap, but it's doable. ;)

If the costume in the movie isn't supposed to be a giant metal suit, it doesn't make any sense to make a diecast version either.

For me, this would be a total miss, and its exactly what I'm afraid they will do. This is not what the surface of her armor looks like. If they chrome the plastic, I'm concerned it will eventually flake like Cap's shield which is why I'd be more in favor of diecast.
