Pre-cancelled. ;) Why would anyone order this if they wanted to remove the pauldron anyway? And I'm sure it's removable with effort - never seen anything on any HT figure that wasn't removable, regardless of glue application or otherwise.

Because if its removable it gives you display options. My plan was to buy the gunner and the squad leader. This would then allow me to alternate between
Trooper/trooper
Gunner/trooper
Squad leader/trooper
Squad leader/gunner

All for the cost of 2 figures.

Might just get the 2-pack now.

He said pauldron and crotch is pleather.... undersuit at knees and elbows he said is "rubba"

Got to say those knees and elbows looked stressed and tweaked already to me out of the box, even with his dainty gloved hands.

Yeah, they look dodge to me too.

Doesn't sound like that TRU exclusive was easy to acquire.

Looks like he has a zipper at the back of his neck. Must be from the trooper shower scene where they unzip each other.

I originally wanted the pauldron removable too, but...I plan on creating this scene when I have Kylo and two Stormtroopers. And I think the white Pauldron will look nice next to Kylo Ren, with him being all black and all.

If a white pauldron is "Squad Leader" what's the red/orange one for? ;)

Orange listed as "officer" in Hasbro product.

I don't even remember from when or where the OT pauldron designations were conjured:

orange = captain, squad leader
white = sergeant
black = corporal

They've probably been called other things.

But for TFA we so far have an "officer" and a "squad leader".

In the Rebels cartoon, a white pauldron trooper was referred to as "commander" by Vader. :dunno

Well you know extended canon was wiped clean, big and small. All the basic assumptions we had are up in the air. Maybe the OT orange doesnt mean squad leader anymore. Maybe White Pauldron is now and retroactively 'has always been' the top pauldron dog.

Or have they sorted this out in the new canon already, too?

All possible, and direct contradictions in this series aren't exactly unheard of, but recall ANH where the white pauldron trooper addresses the orange:

"Look, sir..." clearly outranked.

If you want to overthink it, that was a very top-heavy detachment on Tatooine, explained away given the urgency of the mission, I guess.

But really, ANH wasn't that well thought-out.

Just noticed them on this pic, but I am really digging the trigger fingers on the hands. Nice little detail really makes the gun holding pop. Looks great!

It would be great if they were firing string bows. ;) Kind of the reverse of what you want on a trigger weapon for sensitivity though.
