The only disappointing thing about the TFA line so far is that only the TRU exclusive of this one figure has the metal plaque. They did really nice metal plaques on nice dio bases for all the OT figs and now they get to TFA and what do we get? Sideshow's new hexagonal bases everyone hates with painted on lettering. Figs look great so far but the bases leave a lot to be desired.

I actually really like the stands for the First Order troopers. Nice, simple, classy. The troopers don't need any embellishment from a fancy stand.

The Ex stand is absolutely beautiful in hand, it's something I haven't seen photographed properly yet. It's matte textured plastic (Like Guardians) but with an almost Glass like gloss area which reflects the trooper's white armour on the red section. And I love the metal plate as well.

Rory, is the chest armour two separate parts on your Trooper? Mine has a distinct gap up each side. Hard to see it on the official pictures.

Managed to snag a Black Series Stormtrooper until we get our HT versions. I really love the new look. It's really grown on me.

They are pretty cool, just wish he had double jointed elbows so he could aim the blaster properly. Hasbro double jointed the knees but not the elbows, costs I guess.

I thought the new design wasn't great but thankfully they've started to grow on me. I think they've done a good job of introducing the new characters and designs so it's not a shock come TFA time. Only 3 months away.
