Sigh, what I would have given to see these two team up for an entire season, with IG almost being the Chewie to Mando's Han. Even though I obviously realize that would have been far too expensive for them to pull off on a TV budget.

Yeah, that would have been awesome. I felt the same.

Was kinda bummed when they killed him, although it did make for a great scene and part of the story having Mando grow in his opinion towards hating all droids.

Well, u never know. If Kuill reprogrammed IG, he probably had a backup. U know, like C3PO in the ST.

Yeah I mean a lot of ppl were speculating IG-11 would appear in the second season of Mando. I feel like he might be done...and I like that the show is willing to kill off characters and move forward. I mean I?d love to see an IG again and I?ll bet if it?s not in Mando one will appear in Book of Boba. Maybe even Dengar, Bossk, 4Lom or Zuckuss.

Yeah killing a character certainly adds stakes to a show.

But HT please give us Kuill. I'd love a character that isn't purely humanoid like all the rest in the display.

Teenage bodies exist, fatsuit. Done.

Oh well. At this point it's only Turd and I that want him I think anyway.

The show is absolutely NOTHING like I expected (not that I don't love it), I figured IG-11 would be around for a while too. If I remember right both this and the first Mando were up for preorder before the first episode happened. When he was killed at the end of Ep 1 Hot Toys was probably like "NOOOOOOO!!" haha, I'm getting this figure but if he didn't make the further appearances I wouldn't have ordered.

HT only uses their own bodies though right? Have they made anyone small enough outside of Wicket? But yeah I'd 100% get Kuiil.

Nah, to me he's one of the more notable characters introduced into the SW universe - courageous and dignified. I think my collection may mostly end up being focused a lot on Season 1 anyway, and some of Season 2. Without Kuiil, Mando would still be stuck on Arvala-7.

Like I've got no interest in getting a Mando version of Luke, even if they make one. To me that's not iconic for Luke Skywalker, but farmboy Luke would be. Guess that fig is long gone. But I don't wanna go down the OT lane $$$$$

Apparently in 2011 this Luke fig - Medicom? - was 300$.

I guess with some of this older stuff, u could say it's now retro, and part of the era. OR...thank gawd I started collecting when I did.

Although HT seems to be going backward (EG IM sculpt) - dunno if I want a "retro" Pascal or Boba sculpt tho.

Well they could always bring back the original on that show-- IG-88. It would be cool to see him again, and to see how his personality might differ from IG-11.

Yes. I mean I think IG-88 will be very single-minded, cold. It was cool to see a relatively friendly IG unit, now I want to see the straight-up murderous, unfeeling bounty Hunter from ESB.

Im excited to see how this compares to the SSC IG-88. I had the original a while back but did a straight up swap for Mark III Diecast Iron Man.

All I know is my final payment got pushed to February, and originally seemed like he would be released with Mando V1. Then I read about UPS and Fed Ex being backed up; California has huge Covid spike which probably affects SSC getting stuff shipped; and anything I order seems slower to ship except Amazon.

Just hope my Beskar Mando won't get delayed too, when the time comes.

Well, I took the plunge and pre-ordered IG-11 via SS using a discount code and some reward points.

I'll display alongside original Mando and the Hallmark ornament Grogu or the one from the Deluxe Beskar release.

I have a feeling that as cool as he looks in photos, in-hand, he is going to blow people away (no pun intended).
