I could never tell. I think camera angles always play a factor.

The only design aspect I see is the crease within the mohawk is thicker than the one in the show. It’s about as thick as the crease that wraps around the front when it should be half as thick for accuracy.

The overall sillouhette just looks a tad off, and the visor too. It still looks good, but it's just never looked "right" to me, everytime I look at them on the shelf I just always think it looks a bit wrong.

Nit picking I guess but it's one of the reasons I'd prefer if they just used 3D files from the licensor instead of handcrafting everything in house.

I hadn't quite noted the differences, but to my eye the top of the figure's head is more rounded compared to the show suit which is more oval shaped. The "T" looks a bit thicker too and the lower sections of the helmet seem to flare out a tad compared to show's. Plus the middle "stripe" looks more raised (looks like a byproduct of having to scale down to 1/6 for mass production in my opinion). Of course for me these are minuscule and don't bother me at all.

I see what you’re saying now. I still think it looks really good tho. There’s nothing that jumps out as too inaccurate to fail any kind of quality test. Good eye tho.
I built a 3D model of Din‘s helmet from multiple references for my black series, I’ll have to print out one at 6 scale and see what differences there are.

Hot Toys really just needs to update the helmet for the chrome one, hope they do but I doubt it.
This is what I did to make HT helmet a little better looking. Still not totally movie accurate but I think my idea improve it a bit: I've made the helmet a bit wider and bigger. Inspired by Luke Skywalker's Rancor trick ;)

Ordered and painted Dean Tolliver’s “Gunslinger” for this figure and WOW.

Really hard to choose a unhelmeted display or with helmet… guess I’ll just have to buy another figure 😂
