Srsly tho the pendant should be piece of cake for HT; they did huge detail on the DS Eye of Agamotto

You're quite welcome. I found out about this on a Mando-themed FB group. When the link was originally posted we all nearly plotzed. When the owner of the shop emailed us over a shipping issue, he didn't hide the CC and there were about eighty of us on the list That was just one go-round of orders too.

Myself, I'm partial to Mynock's Den for helmets. I don't buy one because I have NO WHERE to use it or display it. He has two Sith helmets that nearly made me fall out of my chair, I want those so badly. I don't need to spend $500 on this stuff?! I tell myself that all the time.

Yeah, thanks to Mando and HT rising prices, my "ratcheting back on collectibles" must have fell on the ears of the God of Mischief. As in, I'd luv a full-size replica pulse rifle with machined working brass parts and wood stock - maple, walnut e.g. the better woods. Including the detachable sight with ground glass lens.

Just to have it. Because. Not likely tho. By the end of the day, I figure - maybe - Mando v1, Mando v2 Beskar, Mando v2.1 Beskar battle damaged, Mando v3 alternate armor, Mando v4 end fight armor + Darksaber, Cara Dune 1 & 2, Heavy Gunner, Special Edition Armorer, IG-11, various Baby Yodas = ~ 3,000$ That's not including the stormtroopers, Moff Gideon, and any other hafta have character.

On the other hand HT delays - that's not bad if if takes 7-8 years of payments. HT is good to the fans that way

Buy both. There will be at least a year lead time between the versions, you know there will. Besides, original Mando has that must-have Stormtrooper helmet base.

That's a good point. That base does look pretty awesome. *Sigh* I'll probably be ordering Mando next payday, and the Beskar Armor version when it happens.

? Because the guy who runs Mostly Fantasy is the original prop-maker, that's how.

I'm in a Mando costuming group on FB that routinely has pictures of people's project weapons and they're so beautiful! then I tell myself: What on earth are you gonna do with that. Meanwhile Jango's Westar pistols are calling my name on Etsy. They'd be fun to finish, metallic surfaces are the most fun.

My POs right now are all over the place, I have three. Unlike your $3000 bad self, lol.

Yeeessssss give in to the dark side, you know you want to. Besides, between preorder and shipment you got time to save up monies. I've got Mando v1.0 almost half paid-for right now.

Nah, guessing - V1 was a risk anyway and then the show becomes an international success - prob. HT got caught off guard a bit anyway. No point in putting out shelf warmers. And THEN the Beskar looks like it needs different molds like the chest plate. And then I guess the questions start in planning - portrait sculpt or go cheap; with baby or have baby separate, etc.

Heck we didn't even get Cara Dune in the first releases. Just stuff that would appeal to SW fans and armor fans, really, if the show bombed. Folks forget just a bit ago this show was completely unknown entity. It could've really sucked.

I NEED Cara tho that woman is a kick ass gorgeous goddess.

Might as well settle in for the long 2-year waits on some of this stuff. I just hope HT doesn't mess the Pascal & co. portraits up when the time comes.

I was thinking the deluxe/Beskar won't see a pre-order until Season Two so it's close enough to release that people who are on the fence stick to their v1 also. I think there's room for both

There's that. I guess I can't get it out of my head that SDCC (July) would show off a Beskar proto. But maybe not. Def. room for both, but a lot of collectors do only 1 of a character or are gonna go for the Beskar.

LOL happy I actually WANT both. I'd be sad if I couldn't have both. I like the colors, details, and distressing of v1, and then there's the Beskar (esp. when it's scorched up).

And I really want the blinky red light thing on the gauntlet, to be a genuine light up. Mando's tech stuff fascinates me. Suspect that's too much to ask for tho.

Even if they show a Beskar armor at SDCC, there's no telling when it'll go up for preorder. I still don't see them doing it until late this year the earliest. They know it'll impact at least some sales of the regular one.

I think basically every release from this series so far was almost dictated by Lucasfilm and whatever assets they gave HT prior to the show's release and also ease of production. I'm mostly directing this at HT showing off the Heavy Mando after that specific episode aired, almost exactly like Hasbro did. That must have been coordinated with Lucasfilm. If someone gave you this series and said pick a character to make, would the Heavy be one of the top 5? It was too planned out.

The V2 Mando will probably take away sales from the first release but I?m curious if the inclusion of the Child will more than make up for those potentially lost sales. The Child has been Funko?s highest sold character ever, and other companies? products are sold out. Perhaps HT can make up those lost sales of V1 with the Child and hopefully they decide to do it sooner rather than later.

The V2 Mando will probably take away sales from the first release but I?m curious if the inclusion of the Child will more than make up for those potentially lost sales. The Child has been Funko?s highest sold character ever, and other companies? products are sold out. Perhaps HT can make up those lost sales of V1 with the Child and hopefully they decide to do it sooner rather than later.

Personally I think Beskar Mando is in the same development hell as C3PO. They can't figure out how to mass produce the shiny metal finish at a materials and price point they are happy with. SS had the same issue with C3PO so they finally gave up and went a simpler route so he is more a matt finish. At least with 3PO HT has the option if they decide to go full diecast like Tamashi did (i'm guessing they don't want to do that) but with Mando, the diecast would be attached to fabric so would end up sagging badly over time.

At least with Mando the chroming is on panels rather than the entire figure. There's enough good quality chrome paints and enamels such as Alclad that they really could make it work without going to die cast. Besides... They'll wait on the die cast version after we all have the v1 Beskar and the Chapter 1 version.

I was originally thinking a deluxe might have the child but after the Leia and Wicket release being a double pack rather than a deluxe I can see them doing the child in the hover pram as a full figure release. I was thinking the deluxe might be without the jetpack and a couple of other things but for a season two figure they'd have to include it in the regular.
