I got the Standard as well. I have no use for the extras since I don't plan on getting the Swoop.

Don't feel bad DuskRaider, I just picked up the standard as well. I also don't see myself ever using the majority of the deluxe version accessories. Now, to decide wether or not to sell my Durasteel Mando

Contemplating on whether to buy this one. Those pleather parts look like they could flake over time. Also worried that the chrome paint would fade in time too.

By the time those problems happen we will be buying Season 15 version of Mando.

That is unless you live in a jungle then yeah he’s going to flake but even then in 5 years.

If/when I get him, I’m getting the standard. All the deluxe extras are just too scene-specific for me to ever use.

Yeah I think even with the regular, you're still getting a good amount of accessories, plus it's cool to have different options on both the releases.

I intend to have the chrome armor repainted to look more like this. It should still have the reflectiveness of the chrome but less vibrant.View attachment 625853

I'm not sure but it's the chrome armor but almost like it's been dulled. I think in my case it would be better to get the S1 beskar armor coated in a gloss or shine coat rather then having the Chrome armor repainted.

Just took him out of the box. Great figure. Mine looks plenty shiny with little weathering covering up the chrome so I’m not seeing any need to clean it up.

Feel like I'm the only one that ordered the standard lol just didn't feel the accessories I wouldn't use.
Fully paid off but still waiting on PopCollectibles to ship. Damn, they are slow.

I bought the standard figure. It's great! I didn't want or need all of the Mando luggage.

I like this figure which says a lot because it takes a lot for me to get over being salty of a fast follow better version three days after I bought the last version.

I am in the camp that thinks the chrome is wrong. it's too neutral and light in tone and a bit too shiny. But its way better than the last version.

I did the expected mods here - removed most of the grime with goof off. Took off the absolutely ridiculous fat suit as per usual and padded the base body at the thighs, lats and biceps to get his accurate frame. grimed up the fingers of the glove, repainted the thigh armor

I also absolutely hate the wired cape. I understand some people like it because it holds poses but to me anything with a wire is just a big amateur toy move... this is the last versions cape that I tattered up a bit. And dyed his flight suit brown.

The other thing is the Pedro head, I removed the weird porn stache thing they had going on Why the hell he had that I will never know, and followed his facial hair pattern but made it more balanced all over so. I also tried to enhance the likeness a bit painting detail around his eyes etc. It didn't help much this is a terrible head by Hot toys. one of their worst ever IMO.

Having said all that I absolutely love this figure after the mods. Eventually there will be a billion better Pedro heads. I will replace that in time.

Amazing work as always bro! It's 10x better after you mod it. Still working on mine but felt the same about the wires in his cape. Outside of getting the armor repainted to be less shiney and more like the show this is one of the better Mando figures we've gotten. Hope to see what kind of Din sculpt you get I'll definitley be getting something myself.

That’s a lot of work buddy..but fantastic job…I’m happy with my custom ..still gets the job done…especially with the new S3..we can clearly see Pedro is a lot heavier so the extra padding on the figure is not a bad thing

This season is gunna make me want a third, just re adjusted the armor pieces on mine to get the chest up a bit and the shoulders a little more flush, it's small but looks better already, now just need to figure out the darksaber hook placement and I'll be good to go
