I'd have to say that even within the incredibly small niche market that is 1/6 scale movie replica figure collecting, collecting Predators is an incredibly smaller part of the niche.
I love HT figures(And making customs), plus i also love the Predator movies(Yes, even that lousy AVP, lol), but i'd not waste £10 on a Predator figure. It's purely a personal thing but, when you buy a niche within a niche product like Predator, the resale will be a lot lower than other figures.
Who would have thought that ScarJo from IM2 would be worth so much on the secondary market and Predators would be worth so little?
There are the "2-in-1 Superman" figures out there, and there are the "New Goblin" figures.
It's a gamble when you buy as to which one you are investing in...

Depends also on whether you buy to collect or with the intent to sell later on. I got the Classic Predator and he's the definitive representation of a Predator for me. I don't think they can produce a version that much better (and I'm not worked up about the biceps thingy and the bone trophy necklace) that would make me want to toss mine outta window and buy it.
Same for Keaton Bats, Thor V1 (I like him and won't replace him) and a number of other figures I have. Heck, I'm even perfectly happy with my MMS T2 (though I might replace the head with Creg's Custom if it turns out awesome).
Simply put, there's so many fantastic things out there that I don't feel the need to constantly update one and the same character.
With that in mind I don't feel cheated by reboots nor do I worry about losing value.

Not small enough for John. The best body for Jessie is the Luke body as it as the sculpted forearms which look better for the tattoo than the smooth arms of the standard Slim body.

Sorry. I wasn't clear enough. Some of these figures are a good investment to get at least your original spend back if you decide to sell.
I'm not suggesting investing in HT figures.
Just that some will give a better return later on if you decided to sell them.
And some(Like Predator figures), have a more limited appeal to people buying used.

Yes they do actually. They think of the most efficient way for them to milk their fans dry. Of course they won't bother including hands. They know people will blindly eat these bodies up.

I thought these do come with hands (two relaxed, one fist, one trigger). That's about the same as usual for True Types in the past, isn't it? I might be misremembering, but I thought they used to come with two relaxed and two triggers. (I actually like the addition of the fist for variety.) Heck, I've got bins full of extra hands and feet.
