They are, our dollar has been slowly losing value over there for the past 6 years. Seven years ago the dollar was break even if not worth more

Agreed, the exchange rate is not in the US favor anymore, but the global economy is tied into all currencies. I can understand the US prices being higher, I just don't accept that US prices need to go up with every single release, which is more or less what is happening with SSC.

Actually, in this case, it is NOT correct. Hot Toys is a Hong Kong Company. HK and US has a treaty on exchange rate that they have locked up the rates for stable trading, so the exchange rate between HK$ and US$ has not been changed much for many many many years now.

The timing of the release on this is good. Id rather it was sooner but it lands around my birthday month so ill be able to get it as a " present " (even though ill have to put towards it).

the prices on Re 4 Leon and Krauser on ebay are really high, I cant help but think that the revelation of pictures from this will help the sales of them. I know its made me consider getting a Krauser again.

I hope so. The sooner the better. However, their track record with meeting their expected release dates has been pretty bad lately. I've been waiting forever for my Bespin Luke.

None of them are women in designer dresses, though again, I have no interest in any of those figures (rooted hair in the case of the superheroes). I'm not knocking anyone who likes and wants this figure--I've got guys in suits on my display--but the fact is that she just isn't all that interesting looking.

I think it's just a matter or what you like and what you don't. I'm a rabid fan of Resident Evil and always wanted an Ada to go with my collection. I have every single Resident Evil release from Hot Toys, so the fact that this is actually being made make me very happy. I can understand that a casual fan of Resident Evil might find it to be a boring release, though.
