Hot Toys Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean

All clues point to Bootstrap but then again the out looking for his father could just be rhetoric because it happened in the film and the webcopy guy at HT felt it was humorous. Sao Fang was done because there is a large following in the Asian market for Chao Yun-Fat stuff, he has two figures actually if you count the limited edition version but it wouldn't make sense to make Bootstrap. Remember in DMC he was out looking for his father and encountered Davy Jones and while he was looking for a way to save his father in AWE he encounter just about everyone.....the clues could be really useless at this point.

I just don't see them wasting an offering with Bootstrap, look for someone a little more sellable to accompany Will I think.

I think they should make all the major characters, even Bootstrap! I want this line to be huge. Pirates of the Caribbean-Hot Toys- YOU JUST CAN'T GO WRONG!

I'd prefer they didn't invest in any skeletal pirates or Flying Dutchman crew yet for the sake of my display, but I'm pretty sure you guys will get Jones and at least one member of each freak crew.
Here's hoping that Barbossa is next, and that he will be in human form.

yeah, I'd get norrington. I hope they Do the "undead" version of will from the end of the film. I'll get him regardless. I'll still need to go back and get elizabeth eventualy. here's hoping she does not become supah RARE.

Oh for god's sake, there are 3 main characters in POTC and we are now hearing that the 3rd of the main trio is on his way. Celebrate you lubbers!!
Like, get a life all you monster freaks (inc the darklord) the feeling that a third rate guest monster is more important than a key character is what killed the buffy line. Love him or loathe him, orlando bloom is a top actor and is key to several major frnchises.
Accept it....he's a good looking b*****d and gets the parts. We are just jealous. well i am!
The `Davy jones character ain't that great, as much as I love Bill nighy, barbossa is cool but not key. I will buy whatever!

One could say the same about Ron Weasley doesn't mean I wouldn't want him done as a figure if there were a Harry Potter 1/6 figure. Will Turner is a definite welcomed addition to the line my real question is how far will the line go? In terms of Movie Masterpieces the only line that has been really extensive was the AvP line right? They have been really stingy with fans like one Batman offering for Batman Begins so one has to wonder if vital characters like Norrington or in some respects Lord Beckett will be made? I want to know also if we'll get past POTC characters.....they've started the back tracking with Predator 2 I'd love to see them head back for a Cannibal Jack or Pirate Garb Will Turner from the end of CotBP....

That fact that they didn't make boring characters isn't why the Buffy line died. Certainly Will won't save or kill HT PotC either - he may be a main character but he's still far less interesting than just about any other character in the films.

I'm quite glad now that I didn't go ahead and spend too much time on a custom sculpt of Will Turner, .... I always loved the character, but there's about as much love for him here as.... well.. soemthing that isn't loved very much

I'm sure with the improvements HT have been making lately that they'll get the sculpt just right though!!

Will's a character that was good for the plot, and entertaining as a character in the films, but as a collectible, I don't see much appeal to him unless the item could repeat some of the funny dialogue he spat out. Still, I will be curious to see which outfit they do and how well it all turns out, but with the price of these figures I won't get him unless he's spectacular.

I actually think that Will is an underrated character in these films. He's overshadowed by Jack and Barbossa and Jones, but I've always found him to be a good character, and no Pirates line would be complete without him.

I very much agree. In fact, I don't much like the Elizabeth character, either. They were both fine in "The Black Pearl", but the last two films made me want to punch the life out of both of those insufferable pricks.

I have Jack on order. That's it. But if they offer a Barbossa or Norrington I'll get them, too. Elizabeth and Will can go pound sand on some deserted island.

Feel the same way, at this point Jack is the only one I'm getting. But Davey or Barbossa would be great... I'd even be down for some ghost pirates or dutchman crew members... just because they'd look so kickass.

Also, the Marines from Aliens are another line in which HT went pretty deep.
