Will they be pack the head and hair in Futurama head cylinders like InArt did with The Joker? Most people won’t want to nor know how to style hair correctly.

We won't know that until the first in-hand pics most likely unless HT shows us ahead of time. I sort of doubt it though since it's HT. And unless HT make it a magnetic connection like InArt, it really won't if the head comes in a separate container anyway, as trying to put a rooted head on a ball joint w/o messing up the hair in the process is pretty much impossible.

I see Morena Baccarin in the sculpt.
Then you are blessed. Every time I see Morena Baccarin, it’s a good day.
595 for a Harry Potter?!?
Considering that epic and intricate, mixed media diorma he comes with as well as the all new child body, clothing tailored to perfection, leather shoes, rooted hair, rolling eyes and a heap of accessories, I can genuinely see where every penny is going with that release.

This WW is an entirely different story. All you’re paying for is the intentional scarcity of the piece.

If it was a regular release at a cost that reflected the 95% reuse, I’d consider it but, even if InArt’s version is a pipe dream or years away, the mere possibility of it existing at some point is enough to remove this from contention.

You’ll get her in a flimsy plastic tray like everything else, with a plastic bag over her head to hold her hair together and you’ll thank Hot Toys for the pleasure of of taking your $450.

I've noticed Sideshow has been randomly implementing a queue to access their site since yesterday. Just had it happen again like 10 minutes ago. Looks like they're preparing their system for Friday's releases.

Wait.. Don't I have this already? LOL!

I'm still a little surprised at how ridiculously confident that line-up and time frame is. Next 6 months should be busy for them to meet that deadline. They've only listed, what, a quarter of what was promised so far.
Sixteen figures listed and they’ve released one of them. At this rate it should only take Inart until 2035 to complete their ‘Phase One’ list! 🤪

Probably, but I think it’s more likely that it’s for their Rare Warehouse Finds and Limited Deals Live YouTube show they’re having tomorrow. Lots of folks rightfully complained that the couldn’t get into the site or they could get the item in their cart, but couldn’t check out the last time they hosted one of these events; so, they’re probably trying this out to hopefully have a better experience. I for one had both the Stormtrooper Han Solo and the Tarkin Vader 2pack in my cart but never was able to check out. It would just time me out

This is a valid concern. However, if you look at the bang for the buck on figures like the Keaton Modern Suit, Peacemaker, and Pattinson Batman - compared to what you get for the same amount of money from Hot Toys on Star Wars figures - I feel pretty confident we're getting more for our money thanks to the threat of competition than we are less.
Oh, there's no doubt that you get a lot with these deluxe figures, but I don't like getting up-sold if it means I'm paying for things I don't want to get something that I do want (getting more for your money is of little worth if you don't want what you're getting). For instance, if I want the rooted hair Potter, I am required to buy a diorama that I will never use. I maintain that this is a great time to be a 1/6 collector - the competition is glorious and we all benefit from it. I just hope I can afford to keep playing this game as prices continue to climb.

I will bet money with you that no lol. It's a recycled figure that they probably spent little to nothing on developing other than the base and reproduction. I wouldn't expect the hair to be much better tbh, it's all promo

I wish HT would make some comic figs instead of all these played out same celebrity figs over and over and over. Like do something DIFFERENT for once. Maybe do a horror line of screen accurate Jason and Michael and Freddy or Uni Monsters or comic figs or anything but YET ANOTHER Gal Gadot. Oh look, she has Barbie hair now. Who cares! Maybe do the friggen Ghostbusters if they want to do celebrities but please do something DIFFERENT smh lol

She needs the big hair. No one wants a flat haired Diana, it’s like a flat hair Dolly Parton. It just doesnt work lol

Yep I remember her hair being adequately voluminous in the movies.

True :lol To be fair, if they keep up the trend of putting out ultra-high quality product, I wouldn’t mind waiting (and methinks collectors won’t mind in general).

This can't be $400+, right? If so, it's Gal Gadot as Inflation Woman.
It’s not that - the just-announced Flash figure is $290 after all - it’s that they always price these limited edition pieces higher, and they seem to think ‘wool’ hair also carries a premium.

Hot Toys still views that artificial, plasticy Barbie hair crap as an acceptable norm so no wonder they're slapping on yet another price hike to simply allign their products with the current expectaions of the general collecting community.

The wool stuff does seem to look better but it doesn't look $150 better and those on-display images where the hair looks like it needs to be watered down to not sit so large on the head aren't doing it any favors, either.
