What are you on about...he was an SS colonel...they don't come much more evil and cruel than Landa. Just because he helped end the war doesn't erase the crimes he already committed. Did you even see the film.

He was following orders like the rest of the SS officers, except Himmler, Goebbels, ...

He agreed on killing the high command of the whole Nazi Germany army for American citizenship and all that crap. That is treason.

Sorry, but for me it's not smart hunting and letting all the jews being murdered by pointing them out with only his finger.

Did you see him murder a single jew by his hand? He got orders to search for jews, and he did what he was supposed to.

Imagine you working in an army, and you're looking for potentional terrorists... What would you do? Do your job, or risk being executed by your own comrades?

Yes, 100% on the side of all that is GOOD. It's terrible what happened with your great grandfather, but that doesn't change anything. The Nazi's were pure EVIL and deserved everything they got, and more...

Good luck explaining why you have a Hitler or Himmler figure on your shelf.

He is a fictional character who happens to be a Nazi.
Nazi's have a distinct look and we hate them so much. That alone usually make them the best villians in movies.
That topped with Waltz's amazing performance means I'll be getting this figure personally.

If the movie made Nazi's out to be the good guys or something along those lines I'd feel uncomfortable then but it makes them as evil as they should be and Hans Landa was one of the greatest screen villians of the past few years imo.

Landa's character was evil plane and simple. The expression on his face when he tells LaPadite that he knows he's harboring Jews under his house shows it. Landa could have just as easily let them go just like he did Shosanna and no one would have questioned him. He also killed Von Hammersmark for being a traitor even though he ended up betraying the whol High Command. Landa is self serving and doesn't really care who won the war as long as he was on the winning side and would not be punnished for his crimes. It's that simple.

But yeah, you could also say Aldo was evil because he scalped people and enjoys watching people's head getting bashed in.

I could argue about this for years.

Anywho back on topic, this figure is awesome. I have so much on my plate atm but I'm definately gonna try and pick this up. Only problem will be finding the funds to get Aldo aswell.

I actually don't want Aldo. The figure is great but for some reason I just didn't find him that much of a memorable character. Maybe it was because Landa stole the show for me.

Indeed Landa is the most memerable character no doubt. To me though Landa would look a little odd on my shelf without Aldo though.

Good point. I have a shelf dedicated to nut cases though so I'll be fine. He'll be fine with Anton from No country for old Men and the Joker or someone.

Atm my shelf consists only of 3 RE5 figures and an SS Jason and will soon consist of more RE5 figures and some Preds and hopefully a Joker, like I said Landa would look a little odd without Aldo but then again, who cares, he's a great figure.

Waltz always reminds me of a bobblehead. His head is a bit large.

And I'll be in the minority here but I hope the Swatstika is kept on it, unlike what happened with Silken Floss.
