the big problem to their "On Hold" No line that SS has put on Hold has ever come back!!!!!

To my knowledge they did once. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer line was put on hold after they released Buffy and the three Gentlemen. All the other figures in that line followed the restarting.

booyeah! alright so there is some hope . . . . . . . . . althoguh that line doesn't seem to be doing real well now but hey a few more figures is better then none

I'm sure there will be a focus on Hobbit merch, but I wouldn't be surprised with the renewed intrest in middle earth that some of those characters from LOTR will get resurrected.

Provided the license doesn't expire, I can't imagine SSC not producing more OT-LOTR (if you will) merchandise during the eventual Hobbit push. At the very least, I'd expect one or two more figures. Maybe even the completion of the Fellowship.

Again, it may take awhile, but with the advances SSC seems to be making lately, it could work out for the best. I have faith.

Not a chance... because they only put lines on hold when they don't do well. LOTR 12" is not a cash cow.. and with SS's sudden growth.. there will never be a revisit to LOTR. Now I'm sure they will make something for the Hobbit. But the fact is the only 12" line to do well is is SW and The Dead.

I think that depends on how you define "doing well." The Buffy line had a huge number of figures in it, for example. Yeah, it died eventually (and probably before all of the figures that people wanted got released) but that will happen to all of them sooner or later.
