Just got home and entered the new contest. Still no winners announced for the Saw puppet though :( Looks like the only thing I really missed today was the GC, ah well.

ICruise: Checking for cheaters (Non-Kit Purchase) is not that hard. All they have to do is check that persons account to see if they purchased the kit.

If you want to limit the checking to just these access giveaways, that's true. I was thinking that they would be checking all of the kit-related discounts and giveaways, which I don't think would be doable.

As for the discounts, dosen't take more than a minute to check the account for a kit purchase, just like the contest. It's not like hundreds of items are being bought up per day, only a few. I actually think they are doing checks, since the discounts are being done manually.

But the only one who could truly answer that is a SS rep like Chicky, or SS whomever.
...
As for the Hulk Bust contest, I'll pass. I bought one already. GL

Kit-related code discounts/giveaways have been minimal (not that many and usually limited to 1-5 items). So, again, verifying those won't be hard at all. Remember, the spyglass was given away for free so I don't think those would be an issue and almost expected to go unchecked.

Just entered the LSB contest! The wife was about to enter, then we saw this:

Limit one entry per person, household, IP address and/or email address.

When did they start limiting per household? :monkey2

Actually, my concern with the contests isn't so much that people who didn't purchase the kit will enter, but rather that people will enter multiple times using many different accounts. So I think it's good that they're taking steps to stop that.

This is true, but as much as people want to stop it, it's sadly just a part of life and ultimately inevitable. For every step taken toward stopping people like this, there's a hacker forum somewhere with 10 idiots figuring out how to get around it.

hope you guys are all ready for tomorrow, things are bound to pick up on a weekday. I dont have to be at work until 1 so I got the morning to sit on my rear at the pc screen, plus tomorrows only a 4 hour or so shift so not that long of a wait.

Hey freaks,
Just got back from my church's trunk or treat
It was awesome over 8000 people came by
My trunk was Star Wars with Crumb Yoda and Jabba with my big blow up Vader
Only the one contest --right?
