Lack of a coherent story line. Didn't care if the characters were killed off because they'd be resurrected next week. Dull. Muddled. And this is when I stopped watching in season 2. How could the writers be so out of touch? They had to know what the buzz was about this show.

All the fans have to do is say they want the series back and I'm sure another station will pick it up.

Sounds like Marvel.

Heroes have really been a waste of time the past 2 seasons, kinda like a sope opera that didn`t go anywhere.

The creators were out of ideas and really had no idea what to do with the characters anymore, this show has simply been a trainwreck the past 2 seasons.Even if they get the chance to end it,it will have a lame and pathetic ending im sure.

I gave up halfway through last season. I probably should have done it sooner. It really wasn't going anywhere.

I will say the first season is definitely worth having on DVD. That was some great television.

I just always got the impression that Heroes was a one shot, one season deal. The first season was built around "Save the cheerleader, save the world" and that's where all the buzz came from. And to me, the season 1 finale should have been the series finale. Because there was nowhere to go after that but down.

Everything after that just felt like random ideas and extra crap they couldn't fit into season 1. It just got stupid and trite.

Season 2 was great too and i really loved "The Company" idea but they revealed everything about them by the end of the season which kinda ruined it all.Season 3 got interesting when they visited the old place where they were running tests on people with abilities,a step closer to the truth.

I don`t think ive ever seen anything like Heroes,a show with so much potential, but got so terribly bad in such a short time.

Season 1 was excellent

Season 3 was good

Season 2 was ok

Season 4 was awfull

Season 1 was decent

Season 3 was kinda lame

Season 2 was terrible

Season 4 was mind numbingly inane!

Heroes suffered from poor writing. Had Heroes had the writers from Supernatural or recent seasons of Smallville....It could have been the best super hero show ever on TV. So much potential ruined by lackluster writing and no direction!

I thought season 2 was better than 3 in some ways and worse in others. Two had more direction and a good story line, but things moved too slowly. You could easily condense the second season into half the episodes and I think it would be alot better. Three was good in that it had more happening, but it didn't have enough direction and by the end of the first half of the season it was a mess with one thing happening only to be undone a few episodes later.

As I recall that was more or less the way it was supposed to be. Season 2 would have introduced us to a new cast with a new problem. But the show was so popular they were worried about bringing in a new cast and people losing interest. Kinda ironic, isn't it?

That first season was mind blowingly awesome.

The second season suffered from a lack of direction and the writer's strike, but the characters were still good.

Season three committed the worst offense in TV land for me - it assassinated just about every character on the show. Character assassination isn't something I shrug off - I just turn the TV off.

Totally agree. Leaving it as a one season series with a good conclusion would have made it a must buy. But now I just try to forget about how much time I wasted in following the show.

did this show get renewed for another season?

IGN.com posted an article stating that the show has not been renewed for a new season on NBC. Apparently, they're considering a 2- or 4-hour miniseries to wrap up the loose ends, but nothing's set in stone.

But it looks like the show if finally dead.
