I'm starting my first 12" custom, and I'm using an Art S. Buck as a base. What's the easiest way I can remove the head from it's joint, without breaking it? Thanks, Ryan.

Hair dryer or boiling water. Both work fine and will not damaged the head.

The idea is just to get the neck soft and pliable so you will not cause any breakage when removing the head.

Thanks! I was affraid of boiling it, since I'm more worried about one of the other joints breaking.

If you go the water route, just dip the head up to the neck in some boiling water for about 15 seconds. It will come right of no problem at all.

Hair dryer takes a bit longer, but you will get the exact same results.

And like I said they are both completely safe. I have done both water and hair dryer and never had a problem.
