Compare Sideshow from 4 years ago to Sideshow today.

The problem J, is that most of the people here don't have a clue about Sideshow 4-5 years ago.

Ive been saying it since like 2-3 years ago. QC is going to ____. and it's only been getting worse.

It's really not that bad of a piece aside from the scale and haircut...

Still baffles me how hard they ____ up every single iron man that theyve done.

Iron man has got to be one of the least complex characters to paint up and finish. Yet for the life of them they still can't get it right. they even went so far as to coat the stealth iron man statues with oil. ROFL

Honestly, I'd love nothing more than for SS to step up their QC and get back to the way they were before. Sadly, it probably won't happen, but they could at least make an effort to keep the product quality at a level that matches the prices.

While I agree the PF is a diamond I don't think you can truly compare them...

I can't say that I've had any serious Quality issues with SSC lately, and, if there was an issue, SSC ALWAYS helped (the crackle in the paint that appeared years later on my $500 Endo bust DOES bother me though...).

Still, there should be room to discuss quality issues, if it's done in a fair, polite and civil way. But if it really bugs you that much, send a mail to Sideshow.

they are not perfect... even hot toys had defects.... but i'd rather have hot toys than stats no offense guys to his own....
i remember hot toys is almost perfect... but when the demand rises the qc went down... that's what i think happen here...

Lets be honest this is a cry out to all the people that have been screwed over by SS's quality control....im one of them. I said it for about 2 years if SS did not start brushing up on their QC they would lose me as a customer. And as of a couple months ago it finally happend after having to return almost every piece sent to me due to sloppy/poor quality. Honestly, have some of you guys seen some of these IM pieces. It just blows my mind how some of these could leave the factory with a yellow QC on them. Then SS has the balls to charge $500+ for a piece that looks like it was painted by an adolescent hillbilly. Then pulling other crap like these open ES on their higher priced items (1:2 IM). Talk about gouging your customers. I hope SS learns a serious lesson from all this. But it will be to late for me, they can keep their crap.

But as someone who has been buying from Sideshow for close to 7 years there is without a shadow of doubt that their quality control has dropped a lot in the last couple years.

But we have also had at least 25 of these threads over that time too. Every line and scale is prone to Sideshows apparent lack of tight quality control.

And the odd thing is it 99.89999999999% of the time its a paint related issue.

Flaking paint, lazy eyes, bad application, ect ect ect................

Sideshow needs a NEW PAINT factory!!!!!!!!

Look at Hot Toys, they deliver time and time again.

Sideshow shats on amazing sculpts time and time again.

Its ridiculous. As a sculptor working for them I would go crazy to see my hard work destroyed by horrible paints.

Sideshow could solve 99% of the problems they are having now just by imploying a quality paint factory.
