I am on satellite (only option for broadband in rural aust.) ..on a three gig limit p/month, shaped to dial up after the 3gb is used up

I can't even get ADSL where I am at, even with the local exhange being a few hundred meters down the road! Too small a town (with only few hundred residents) and a severe lack of demand for b'band.

Some of those speeds posted by you guys are mind boggling to me!

What's funny is, I haven't been able to get on the internet for almost 2 hours! I tried everything thinking it was on my end, even running a full virus scan. Then all the sudden, back on. I guess the server or something must've been down.

And I'm still having problems tonight. It's running slow as molassus and I have to sign off then when I try to get back on it doesn't work again.
