im sure the Star Wars line will start to slow down soon. i know the PF seems to have slowed down a little bit. i would like to see the next LOTR PF announced soon!!!! as for the 12" i would prefer about 6 a year in the SW and LOTR lines... rotate them so every month we get 12" figure.

I'd like to get 10 of each a year but that's just me being selfish. I wouldn't mind seeing a 60-40% split between SW and LOTR respectively.

Realistically speaking I think Star Wars has more on its plate to eat (so to speak) than does LOTR. I know Middle Earth is full of characters (and there maybe more characters than SW?) but I think SW has more to acomplish in a shorter period of time than does LOTR.(assuming there is an expiration clause or something in their contract with LFL)

If SS did that I would start collection LOTR too (coz as it is, it would just be too much money for me to get involved with LOTR).

Thats my problem too, I love the LOTR figures, but my hear belongs to SW. So if I have to get behind a single line the majority of my money will go to the Star Wars figures. I still plan on buying the occassional LOTR figure, but for now I just have the Aragorn on order.

Would the Great Kurgan be pleased with that statement? :lol :D :lol

lol!!! im gonna try to get all the SW and LOTR 12" as i have them all on pre-order now. but with my sudden interest in the PF stuff.....dont know whats gonna get cut.hopefully the next LOTR 12" will be someone other than the Fellowship characters as those are the only ones im gonna pick up.

Damn! And now I can't delete that statement because you quoted me... time to backpeddle. But in all honesty while I will kill, rape, pillage, yadda, yadda and more yadda for the Great Kurgan Crusade. It is but one figure, and when I mean heart, I'm really talking about my wallet and SW will get the majority of it dedicated to those figures.

Whew :monkey3

I wish they'd hurry up and give us Aragorn already. its been foreverrrrrr

I agree - one figure per month from those two lines that seem to be the power houses at the moment. While I collect X-Files, Bond, Highlander and Buffy as well I don't think those will cause much financial difficulty with their release schedule.

Of course the odd additional item like ED-209 & Robocop may cause me issues ;) :chew

How The Lord Of The Rings should have ended

lol thats so funny!!! i watched all the other "Ended" videos too....
what i want to know,it might've been annouced already, is what the design of the boxes will be like. is it safe to assume they will be likethe Star Wars boxes??? since they are so popular right now??

I am hoping they look like the Star Wars boxes. They look very nice in that packaging.

I saw or heard in one of the interviews that the LOTR packaging would be different form anything else they've done before, including SW. Unfortunatley, no one has leaked what that will be... It'd be cool if they made book-style outer packaging, like Toynami did with the Robotech figures and it could even match-up with the Extended Editions :monkey5

galacticboy, do you have pictures of the boxes you are talking about? (Robotech)

Thanks, :)

I couldn't find any great pictures, but here is the Toynami Website: Robotech Masterpiece Click on the links and you can at least get an outer view of the box... the top, bottom and other right side look like pages, and the front flap opens (like a book) and reveals the figure... it also came pacged in B&W outer box for protection. Overall really nice presentation... probably better than the figures :lol
