I'm not going to go into my stories (which I've ranted about plenty on these boards), so I'll just say that I'm on my fourth right now. Two broke on me, I sold the third before it had the chance and bought a slim.

The slim has been rock solid since. (knock on wood)

wow same sh it here . so the slim is better built i take it? awesome

Yeah mine's a newer model and stays on pretty much constantly between Netflix and discs. Maybe I'll luck-out.

These companies are gonna have to fix this issue with the next gen consoles though. Microsoft is really fortunate in still having such a loyal fan-base despite their piss-poor product.

Everyone I know with a 360 is on #3 at the very least, and I finally "donated" my most recent one to my son, and a few days ago it stopped playing a new game he got for Christmas.

uggggg that sucks man sorry to hear:gah:

I still have my one and only PS3: the MGS Bungle pack version......however, about 5 of us from work have various PS3s and I am the only one that has not had issues...the rest of them all had to send to SONY....

Sorry to hear this y'all. I got my PS3 the week it got released and it is still going strong despite the fact that my wife likes to leave it on for days at a time when she watches a movie...then switches the TV back to the Direct TV box and does not turn off the PS3. I have been waiting for it to take a dump and it has hung in there.

I've never had a problem with mine- 80gb version. I've had it for 2 years. Very happy with my PS3

My 360 on the other hand. I'm on my 3rd one :slap

didn't know PS3s broke down so much. l don't care for the PS3. l bought the original Xbox 360 when it came out and died a year later. l think one of the props with the 360 is people don't know how to take care of them properly. don't keep them in confined spaces, and don't stand them up right. l think my first 360 died because l had it in my TV stand and it got to hot all the time and could not cool down. l have had my elite now for 4 years with know props. l baby it, dust it, keep it in the open and never move it.

Now, I can get with those whose Xbox 360 has met with the RROD. My son's is experiencing that now.

I've had my PS3 80 gig for about three years now. It's the big one with the fan, I'm guessing the first?

No problems.

Maybe if you guys wouldn't throw them against the wall when you lose the game it wouldn't break? :dunno
