Nothing, i OWE!!! Being: single, self employed, sure does suck this time of year!!:monkey2:monkey2

Tell me about it!

I'm gonna shave down my dog and pass him off as my kid and apply for WIC and write him off.

Well......maybe not......

My 4 little tax deductions keep me in the black every year at least with the Feds. We owe the state though.
MO is a heavy taxation state. We do okay but are by no means rich, especially raising four boys, so it never ceases to amaze me how much we are taxed by this STUPID state.
If you start adding up all the taxes you pay through different avenues you will find about 60% of your income eaten up by our good old Government whether city, state, fed whatever.
It was NEVER intended to be this way. I gotta shut up though or I will go on a diatribe rant of epic proportions.

hahaha........in this economy, u would prolly have a hit put on u if u had that much comin back :gun, but maybe we could b friends?

Since it's all worthless paper like Teemu says, I can get as much as I want back without worries!! :banana

i know u must be married cause there is no way in hell a single person could pull that much back unless u had some serious lying on yur taxes

No, haven't been married for 14 years. And no lying just head of household (son lives with me) and interest only house payment for first five years. No other deduction. I've never had to pay taxes because I rather let them take more during the year then have to owe.

Got ya beat by about a grand, it's not looking good for me this year either!:monkey2:monkey2

SITHLORD=:monkey2 IRS=:whip

Strangely this year we made $2,000 more, but owe only about $1,100 state and federal combined.

What gets me in trouble is my part-time counseling gig is not taxed at the correct rate, so I pay for it each year :lol

Small business owner so I get screwed.. And this is w/ me being married w/ kids. Obama help me!....

oh.....yeah my parents also have a small business so i know they pay lots of taxes, and i know they dont get much profit from the company..........but i guess all business owners get highly taxed right??

I don't yet know how much we'll be getting back, but I got married AND had a kid within the past year, so I expect it will be more than last year! :chew

I pay the tax man a sick amount of money.. No love in return....

So I take it you don't like having streets and interstates and armies and libraries... etc? ;) Anarchy for everyone!!! :lol

In my case I can tell you yes..

The only real difference is that most people get their amount taken out over the course of the year, whereas you, as self-employed, have to pay it all in one chunk at the end of the year... right?? I mean, my husband and I get at least $10K taken out over the course of the year, it's just we never have it in our bank account so we never miss it ;) I'm looking forward to seeing what Obama does for those of us who make less than $50K in a year - both my husband and I make less than that (but does it count if combined is more then $50K??? probably not, sigh)

well i make less than 50k, so maybe being not married will have another benefit

i won a $9000 ATV last summer. i got to claim it. i'll be paying in a ^^^^ load. but i supposedly have a huge tax credit coming from one of my other "activities". so that should cover it.

I'm getting $500 back......but next year I will be a home owner and am looking forward to getting a bigger chunk back. :)
