How to justify Mary Jane and Emma with my wife?

Scott, tell your wife that your collection needs some sex appeal to it! As you say, "Cuz if it ain't Fubeca, it ain't sexy!" She will approve, I am sure. :D

Your wife? Why are you worried about your wife? What are you going to say to your home teachers?

Lol....I'm interested to hear these ideas as well. Personally my wife didn't like Emma at all, then I just PO'd her and keep pushing the fact I was really in trenched into the Comic world before we meet and it was a symbol of it. She eventually just gave up and when I showed her MJ she actually said "at least she's wearing more clothes than the other one...."

:D

do what I did tonight. I said "Hon, one of my favorite comics book artists is doing a series of statues based on female comics characters. These statues border on porn but I want to get them anyway" she looked at me for a half a sec and then very unceremoniously said just said "ok"

And that was that.

I still don't understand spouses getting worked up over statues? Unless it's inappropriate to be displayed in front of the kids or something...

Just tell her theyre statues, inanimate objects, theyre not going to come alive and give you oral :lol

my question is what are these women doing out of the kitchen?

i kid, i kid.

Because if they did do that then the sell outs would set the SCC servers ablaze every single time....:lol

I laugh at threads like these. I must be a lucky man because when I showed my girlfriend Emma she said "wow, she looks really good. Who sculpted her?"
And when I showed the GF Mary Jane she said, "When does she go up for preorder because she looks great."

So all i have to say to the rest of you is...I am glad no one tells me what I can and can't have. IF my GF ever said I couldn't have a stupid statue because she didn't like it, I would say too bad because I am getting it anyways. Good thing it doesn't have to be this way for me. :rotfl

Wow, our relationship is great. My GF and I understand each other completely and we get along so well. That is why I don't get threads like this. I can't understand the problem. I mean I get it, women are probably insecure about their men buying these statues but it seems so trivial to me.

Dude, I'm right there with you. My wife is cool about all this stuff as well. When I hear a guy say he's selling his collection because he's getting married, I weep for the poor guy. Man, I can hear the crack of the whip already. Sad :( I never have to explain the price of anything I buy to my wife. Now, explaining it to myself is another story! :rotfl

Yep, communication is everything. My girl trusts me, is understanding, and wouldn't take any of these things personally. Women will always put up resistance, or even defiance, but she is just testing your will. You should never fake anything, she'll love you more for it.

Hell, this is easy. :D Just tell her you've bought them because they bring something to the home that the home would otherwise never see. :rock

Then run far and fast. Taking the statues with you. :rotfl

...Or if you invite Khev over. :D

Although my wife is cool with my collecting I must admit that although she wouldn't object to me getting MJ, she would probably raise an eyebrow to it. Also....what do I say to my little boy when he asks who the superheroine is with her a$$ hanging out??:lol

truthfully though....as good as MJ looks, it's not my type of statue.

P.S. just to prove how cool my wife is with my "hobby" (obsession), she brought me the PF Grey Hulk for my birthday :D
