That looks nice!, why can't mine look that wet..he must had put some kind of silacone on it...or just got a real good one.

No, he used 6 coats of a 60/40 mix of tamiya clear gloss and alcohol ran through an air brush at 20 psi.

It's a licence/money thing. A 12" 'model kit' is considered something different than an actual (fully assembled) 12" figure. Perhaps the 12" Model Kit licence was less expensive than the 12" figure licence? It's got to be something like that. I wouldn't be surprized if HT tried to safe some money that way.
If you look at the Alines Colonial Marines and Ripley they made years ago, they all lacked the proper likeness (well, in some cases the likeness was there, but it was hidden under a bad paint job...). So, either HT didn't get the rights to do the proper likenesses, or, they just didn't want to pay the extra money.

ha......I have just received an email from sideshow giving me the EU tracking info for this baby saying it should arrive in 1-2 days.........some may say that is efficient service.....except it arrived 2 weeks ago....!!...:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl
 
You may need it. My legs are already getting pretty loose. I don't move him around a lot, I moved it to clean and couldn't get it to hold the same pose because the legs kept buckling :mad:I love these Aliens, but i think the idea of how to make them is better than the execution. They are quite flimsy.
 
is it pretty much a given that hott oys will make an alien from the first movie?

The same thing happened to me for an order recently. Computer glitch probably. I didn't get another one.

Yes, that happened to me also: I received a couple of tracking info mails for items I received about a month ago.
You got the dog Alien from SSC 2 weeks ago? I have it on order (ordered right away), and it's still 'processing'.
