The mouth is really my biggest turn-off on the piece. I think, aside from it being a quadruped, and overall sleeker in design, the mouth is what made me like him the most. The mouth and lips just look off, and especially the teeth. Does the mouth even close all the way? Be nice if he could somewhat pull off the "grin" he did after he killed Boggs.

Agreed. The mouth just doesn't look like it did at any point in the film I can think of. Dunno, looks a bit goofy or something. It has no menace. I'm against the whole 'interpretation' approach as it is but I wish they'd at least made it 'scary' rather than making it look like some kind of trout mouth.

It's weid how to me the first pics HT released were ok looking but not all that cool but then when Facebox puts his pics up i suddenly am very interested in buying one. Facebox do you work for HT? :lol:lol:lol
Thats what Facebox generally does - he takes pics that make you change your mind about NOT buying a fig. I bought the blue Aliens Warrior cos of his pics.

So who thinks HT will use these legs with different feet for the A:R aliens?

I was thinking the same thing. All they have to do is give it different feet for the legs and new arms/torso/head. I'm sure we'll get the Resurrection Alien in the near future.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they just gave us the AvP alien with the A3 legs.
After all, the AvP aliens were basically the same as the A:R ones, except for the legs and feet.

the exact same legs? i don't think they're THAT cheap. definitely the same ratcheting design, though.
they have plenty of characters to make before they get to AR anyway.

Do you think that when they go to A:R that they will make the fugitve guys (i know they are really fugitives, just unclear to what they are) like the guy in the wheelchair?

Too true. I've just snapped and ordered this from Play.com! :rotfl

They were smugglers.
I doubt we'll see much more than the aliens themselves, except for probably Lucky Star Ripley.

Dang another Ripley, i womder what she will come with. I'm kind of hoping they do A:R aliens first because every time they do a alien/predator it usually looks better than the last one so if they do the A:R aliens then the "Alien" alien it shoudl look pretty good.:banana

I always thought of them as pirates but I guess thats the same thing. I dont think HT will make any humans from A:R - the movie was awful with characters no one gave a crap about. They werent memorable nor cool looking to warrant figs IMO.

Yeah that's what i was thinking. Good point.

I hate to say it, but I hope they make the newborn too.
As for the RE figure, I think they'll re-use some of the AVP alien and the same engineering they used with this (A3) one. Oh, and I hope they also re-sculpt the head/brain.

:lol
Well, seeing as how I already have the Predalien.....
They both fall under the same category IMO.

Victor,
Aren't you concerned about the rubber they use for their figures? I've been reading a lot about the rubber deteriorating over time.

I am, but I haven't noticed any rotting on the figures I have had for years already. At the 1st sign that things are "going wrong", I'll have to find a way to get a vacuum-sealed display. :naughty

.... I can dream.

i've had the sideshow creature from the black lagoon since it came out.
it has much more rubber on it than any of the ht aliens and it's still in mint condition.
i'm guessing ht just uses much cheaper materials.
