why so many ?
I got a completist mentality myself but for $2k on the ani-com? I can easily pass. Glad I got all the other ones displayed in my detolf. They will stay there until all hell breaks loose and I gotta let some of them go. But I don't see that anytime soon. Maybe never?
it would be cool if they released the preds with new bodies imagine the people that have the old ones they would probably be so mad and try to get rid of them before the new ones sell out thats what you get for being greed .
probably not... unless HT decides it's profitable enough.dont mean to rain on anyones parade, but ppl always hope and pray they will re-release them new and improved, but it will NEVER EVER happen.
agreed on all points. and i've had most of them.THe best predator released from HT is obviously classic P1 pred. Just too bad he costs fortune and it's hard to find.
AvP predators are piss poor. ALL of them.
probably not... unless HT decides it's profitable enough.
1 . thats to bad for them they shouldn't have paid so much for them.
2. they did it with bat man and iron man why not predators?
sorry, i don't buy the "piss off the 'fans'" argument. HT has zero incentive to accommodate johnny-come-lately collectors who got their figures from the secondary market. HT doesn't see a dime from what some idiot blew his whole paycheck on ebay for, or from the deadbeat who sold it. even IF they "pissed off thousands of fans", most of those same fans would still buy remakes/re-releases and be thankful for it. i would too. i'd buy a new-and-improved P2 Elder in a heartbeat. my old one is cool, but HT can do so much better these days. they did it with the DX Joker.nope, not even then. Its already known that it would be a huge profit for them already cause there are lots of ppl that dont have the originals, that would buy up new and improved ones. What effect would this have? All the ppl that payed thousands of dollars to get the ones they have will be pissed; not only cause there is a new and improved version, but because if they want to go out and sell the originals, they wont be able to sell them for half as much as they payed for them and the point of making them to begin with is for it to be considered a collectible. If new and improved versions were ever made, it would make the first versions become like Neca figures really, meaning not much collectiblity to them and making their company unreliable. If another AVP gets made and say the Elder Pred from AVP makes an appearance, then theres justification for a new figure, but thats very unlikely to occcur as well.
i'm not saying they'll remake any preds, i'm just saying the "piss off the fans" thing doesn't hold water. their "credibility" comes from making amazing collectibles, not artificial scarcity. it's more likely they have so much on their plate license-wise that they just can't do it logistically any time soon. i guess time will tell. You can disagree, but I'm tellin ya, it will never happen. You can disregard the "piss off fans" argument, but the collectibility argument will stick. The only way you will see a improved Elder is if he makes an appearance in a future Pred movie. HT would lose all credibility if they just decide they will go back and re do figures whenever they want, not to mention they have so many new licenses and projects going on all the time, i dont see them having the time or putting in the effort.
