I think they are only in HK. I know you could get some stuff in Japan early too when I was living there.

I received the 10-15 Day Notice for the Alien Warrior from Sideshow last week, so it definitely appears as if they're all coming.

Looks like I will be repainting mine completely.

Still keeping them all, thanks to these shots. LOVE that Wolf, although the legs are odd. Does the armor come molded on, or do you add that? The thigh pieces I mean?
And yeah, where is my ABC notice!

Anyway, looks good so far. Look for extensive repaints on the PA and the Wolf. The Alien looks ok. Not too shabby actually, about movie accurate.

The gaunlets and shin guards are molded but everything else is seperate and you have to dress him. And Les am I right in thinking you got the AvP:R making of/creature design book. Are there any clear shots of Wolf's colouration and also the Alien Drones feet.
I got the Neca 6" drone and he's got big ol'dino feet where as HT have re-used the 'Aliens' warrior. I'd be interested to see which is right. If it's neca, the'd have been better off using the AvP Alien warior feet instead.

I'll look again, but to be honest, I don't recall any good shots of his skin tone in normal light, nor do I recall any good foot shots of aliens. Sad. One good overall shot of each would be nice in such an illustrated book. Even my AR book has some scans of the alien in it....

I did see a guy's painted sculpture kit of Wolf, and it has a more greenish hue for the light base areas than the standard Pred, and a nice array of dot patterns, etc. So, I think he is a simple pattern, just a matter of the correct tones. He can't be too green though, as that scar on his face is greenish, and contrasts somewhat with the normal skin on the rest of his face. You have to look at all that for information.

Anyway, I will scour....

(I would think either foot will work for the alien. I mean, either is cool...just not sure which one they used)

Cheers Les, I'd have thought HT would have been privy to some pretty good ref from the movie makers, but I'd like to see some decent pics of the feet used on screen. And that statue by Narin is pretty sweet, thanks Sick Boy, I'd love to see what the paint apps were based on.

these are some of the brightest pics ive seen of wolf. looks like theres no green on the suit at all.

and in thios pic you get an ok look at an aliens foot (lower right corner).. yes the ALIENS foot looks accurate.

I actually wonder how good some other property owners are about keeping and sharing imagery with product makers, but like any company, HT will cut corners and isn't firm on accurracy. I won't dredge up too much of old issues, but HT made G.I. Joe sized ALIENS action figures and perfectly captured the look from the film, yet their 1/6 figure is basically an interpretive piece that captures the gist of the look. Ultimately, departure from the source material can be ok as long as the end product is successful as it is. Like the P2 Pred color scheme isn't persay true to film, but it's still a great looking figure. ALIENS warrior isn't true to film, but it's an evil, badass figure. Wolf may not be perfectly correct, but he looks great and a lot of fun.

that's why I had to cancel , if they were still actualy comming in q2, I'd have kept them.
with tat in mind, jamal, i want to make sure wee're clear, if they ship to you before the end of march, I'll end up not being able to get him from you, unless you're willing to sit on him for a while. For that matter, looking at my finances, it will probobly be mid april at the earliest. I've still got one more fig comming in q1, and he's the ;ast one i can affard. and with what happened last time, there is no way I'm gonna pass on my Tak Bats.

The feet look pretty close, but like the hands they should have opposable big toes.
