HT AvP:R 1/6 Wolf Predator Image Thread

Seeing that new pred body makes me think that I wouldn't mind one bit if HT decided to design the Alien xeno with that type of body instead of their rubbery type... the joints are quite well hidden, it looks sturdy as hell and poseability is very good.

The joints are well hidden due in part to the predator's many armor pieces and netting. Without them the joints are as obvious as any other 1/6 body.

I'm perfectly content with the way Hot Toys is doing the Alien figures.

wookster could you let me know if the tiny hole on the back of wolfs armor( between the medical kit and right shoulder cannon) looks like it could be a peg to connect a cleaner kit ( future variant release?). ive seen a few pics but cant make out if its just an indentation in the armor or a peg.

You could probably count on a variant for sure, dunno if that peg means anything but who knows with HT bro

At the moment it looks too shallow, and ther isn't that much room between the cannons, medi-kit and spear holder, but who knows.

And yes Plasmid I still have it, remeber a Xenomorph is for life, not just for Christmas!

Got an e-mail back from Toys2.net regarding their arrival times:

AVP-R Alien is arrived.
AVP-R PredAlien will be in stock in end of Feb
AVP-R Wolf Predator will be in stock in mid of March.

It sounds like Hot Toys may be holding back the release on Wolf because they underestimated the amount of orders (like mentioned before). So they could possibly be ramping up production on more and more and just would rather ship them all out in a huge lot.

Sideshow should be getting them around the same time if not then a little bit afterwards.

Obviously, I should have just waited and pre-ordered through Sideshow. I paid a hell of alot to get these early from ABC and it looks like that's just not going to happen.

Does make one wonder if there will be a second Wolf variant now. What with all this delay for supply stuff...

some one who owns the figure, does wolf have seams on his mandibles? like the p2 figure does it look like it was sculpted seperately? cause if thats the case we just may see a variant with extra "roaring" mandibles just like the battle damaged p2

I don't care for a variant on Wolf, I actually found his roaring look a bit lackluster. The base figure, despite missing an accessory or two, is fine enough for me, and any extras I'll shell out on the bay for if there is a BD version.

I think a Wolf Variant is very much a possibility. There's more then enough that they left off:
Open roaring mandibles
Cleaner kit with additional supplies
Armored left arm gauntlet
There might be a few more that's all I can remember off the top of my head.
Knowing there's a possibility for a variant, I think I'm still going to try and get this release. I'd like those items but I'm not going to chance it and I'd be more then happy with this version.
