Got my Wolf today. I'm sorry to say that I don't enjoy Wolf at all right now.....not because of the design but because of its construction. I had so many problems with him

(1)His right arm fell out of its socket.....I was able to screw it back but it becomes loose after I play around with it :(

(2)His net suit started falling apart.....Had to weave it back a little and do a lot of tying down.

(3)His thigh guards were a pain to tighten and it didn't help when the glue attaching the leather straps and armor gave out. Nothing a little glue couldn't fix but still....

Don't know what I should do about his right arm....I'm so tired and frustrated.

That sucks Darren, hopefully that issue isn't too consistent. As one of few around here who didn't have issues with his ALIENS warrior, I hope the success stories with Wolf that have been posted around here are the norm and not lucky cases amidst a figure full of production issues.

I have emailed Hot Toys hopefully they'll get back to me soon and I'll be able to get a replacement. This was my 4th Predator and the first one to have any problems at all. Some advice I have before putting Wolf together

1. Check the netting for loose ends. Tie them down immediately. They are much harder to work with if you already put the netting on the body.

2. Check all the straps on the armor. A lot of straps weren't glued properly or the glue they used wasn't very good. I probably reglued 4 or 5 straps. Again much easier to work with if the armor hasn't been put on.

Again I really hope I'm one of the few unlucky ones. You do not want to experience what I just went through........ I'm not going to get all hysterical and say that Hot Toys has major QC issues but I had 3 Preds before this and they all had zero problems (besides a broken display stand). Maybe they are biting off more than they can chew with this batch of figures :monkey2

Here is what happened. Nothing broken....but :monkey2

I have thought about using glue but I want to see what Hot Toys does about this first. I don't want to glue the screw and makes things worse and have Hot Toys not replace it. Another thing is that in order to screw it in all the way you probably have to take the body apart. I can only screw at an angle right now since the body is intact. Don't know if that makes any sense. Thanks for the suggestions.

if you get a replacement you will still have to open the upper torso... its quite easy...

Man I'm sorry to hear about that...it always sucks when getting an anticipated item to find out something is wrong with it. I hope Hot Toys can fix you up with a replacement! :monkey2

The screw probably stripped up all the plastic inside, you could glue it but you're right...it's better off getting a replacement.

Good luck!

I went into the official Hot Toys store (Toy Hunters) this Friday to get myself a Wolf. He's sold out. So I asked when they are getting more. He told me MAY. This is Hot Toys' store. So if they dont have any, there arent any more unless you buy it from somewhere that hasnt sold out yet.

I had no idea this figure was that popular. Maybe this extra run will iron out some of the kinks.

If i were you, I would part him out and sell it bit by bit on Ebay. You will make more than you paid for it for sure.

The problems you are facing with the net suit could be due to a change in OEM. From what I heard from my friends in Hong Kong, the net suit for the previous Hot Toys Predators were manufacured by a different OEM. The Wolf Predator's net suit comes from a new OEM. If this is true, then this problem may be more widespread that imagined. I hope it is not. I am still waiting for my pre-order to arrive.

Previously, I had some problems with a Hot Toys Robocop. I wrote to them several times but did not receive any replies from them. Eventually, I have to make do with my own "repair job" for the figure. :(

Toys2 is listing that if you pre-ordered your Wolf BEFORE Feb. 25th...you'll get him in March. If you pre-order him AFTER Feb. 25th...you're getting him in May.

Maybe with the switching of factories and such, they're running into some snags?

Master Monkey, did you ask why there has been such a long delay in the figures?

Huh....I don't remember when I originally ordered my Wolf. I had to reorder to get rid of the PredAlien originally so I wonder which they'll go with.
