Original equipment manufacturer. as in HT could be getting the nets made from a different company than they did with the other predators nettings

so...as i've understand for wolf figure HT have change this OEM...after a decine of succesful and well produced predators figures HT change manufacturer into another cheaper of less quality...

what's up with HT...

Well the first and only Wolf Ive seen parted out was on a Ebay store and the parts sold for around $250 all together.

You're jumping the gun, aren't you? "After a decline of successful and well produced predators"? How could you possibly think that the HT predators have seen a decline in quality since the first release? They've been getting better, AVP < Predator 2 < Predator 2 Elder.

And because 1 person posted about a netting defect you feel the need to say that HT is making cheaper, less durable products just because they changed manufacturers?

How about giving it some time before you jump to conclusions?

ehm...maybe you have to read better again my post... i have wrote a "decine " not a " decline " ...after a DECINE, after TEN well produced and succesful predators figures...

ah, misread that, easy mistake. but I still stand behind what I said.

EDIT: Hold on a minute, "decine" isn't even a word!!! Just admit that you made a spelling mistake when attempting to type "decline". :p

I've brought this up in other threads, but HT isn't afraid of making more and more complicated "toys". Unfortunately as they venture into uncharted toy-territory they run into problems that have never been encountered before.

I too get frustrated with putting together HT stuff - just this week I had 8 different HT products lying around in various states of dis-dress - one waiting on me buying a hair dryer to get a shin guard on - another with a disagreeable arm that refused to cooperate, the others just sitting there waiting for me to work up the courage to open the boxes.
Many people comment about how they don't open an HT without having pliers and super glue standing by.
But I'm willing to overlook some problems because of the complexity of the product. I'm not saying that HT shouldn't do the utmost to control quality, just saying they deserve a bit of slack for taking chances.

And for the screw problem - would a longer screw help solve the problem instead of using glue?

Yeah, I have 4 HT items lying around right now in unopened boxes. Mainly because of all the problems I hear you guys having. It is really discouraging me to open them and try to put them together, as I have not done this before.

Ahhh yes the trials of putting together some of the Hot Toys figures. :rotfl The end result is always a bad ass figure though. :rock

The problem everyone is having with the pred armor is very simple to fix. All u need is to nuke a cup of water for about a minute then dip the parts in for a few seconds. Thatll soften them right up with no problem. The technique definetly comes in handy when your assembling the P2 Elder.

There is a bit of a learning curve; the first couple of HT Preds I assembled (the Ancients) took about 4 hours apiece, while the last couple took under an hour each.

The thing to remember, the 'Hot' in Hot Toys is an assembly hint. Other than chromed components, you can immerse any component in freshly-boiled water without risk. Given a good soak, they become very easy to fit on - even things like P2 leg armour! More than pliers or glue, my #1 tool in assembling them is now a kettle.

no excuse me i'm not english nor american , in italian " decina " is a word for multiple of ten like dozen is for twelve i've search on vocabulary and i've found " decine " so it is...

yeah, but then your also risking selling it for less then you spent too.

I really really doubt it. This guy is in demand. At minimum- I bet you could get 80 bucks for body, and another 80 for the head, break down the accessories individually. 50 bucks for armor, 30 for helmet, 20 for weapons... etc.

I bet selling it whole, as is, you could still make a profit.

Toys2 is listing that if you pre-ordered your Wolf BEFORE Feb. 25th...you'll get him in March. If you pre-order him AFTER Feb. 25th...you're getting him in May.

Maybe with the switching of factories and such, they're running into some snags?

Master Monkey, did you ask why there has been such a long delay in the figures?

No I didnt, but I will be heading back there in a week or two to pick up some other stuff. I will ask them.

I think at this point, everyone's so burnt out on waiting for this figure, they don't care about seeing more pictures, especially really cool ones like that one as it just reminds that these aren't shipping to everyone yet.
