I know it's outdated, but ever since I've been staring at tons of pictures and videos of Christopher Reeve Hot Toys figure, I still couldn't put a finger on what was wrong with the face. Now, I know... The face is STRETCHED OUT!! They literally stretched CR's face sculpt in a computer, and just put it on the body. The final product looks like it has a very round face instead of oblong. The head also looks too big for the body.

Christopher Reeve did have wide cheekbones, but his jawline was actually slender. I just prefer the prototype because it was in scale with the body.

This head shot is of the final product. Notice how round, or "stretched out" his face is?

This one below looks more accurate, because the face is slender. It's not really round-looking.

Anyway, that HT CR head sculpt is marvelous. Very accurate, indeed, but when it comes to being IN SCALE with the body, the head is pretty inaccurate. It throws the reason of buying the whole figure out the window. The fact that people are still praising on how accurate the head sculpt is, well, spending $400 just for the head (while ignoring all kinds of mistakes of the body, and the diorama) is stupid.

Where were you four years ago when this doll was previewed?

I was busy with my comic book projects. No idea about Hot Toys, and didn't even realize ultra-realistic figures existed at the time. Now, been practicing, and self-teaching sculpting to improve my drawing skills for two years now. Since I started to sculpt a face, I had to pick one favorite female face, and one favorite male face to study for sculpting. I chose to learn by sculpting Christopher Reeve.
