There's still no 1/6 scale competition and folks will still buy it because it is better in so many ways from the previous release.

As for the customs, Ledger Joker fans are unlike any others I've seen. Customs would have happened no matter what HT did, but despite them being vocal, it is only a very small minority of TDK collectors who actually ended up buying them.

I don't see much that is better. There's not enough photos yet to sale me on it. Plus, if there is only one head, there's really only one pose to put him in. Seems limited so far.

It's kind of been a trend with Joker figures.

But the latest DX figures didn't have them and were still expensive. Jack Joker didn't have one when he should have. The Arnold T-800 didn't have one when he should have.

I guess you could say that Keaton Batman and Jack Sparrow have different options but they're not really alternate heads, just different faces.

Could be wrong but I think a second head is just wishful thinking on this one. It's not like they're going to include a cop look again or a Nurse outfit.

You just dont get it, the custom figures became the competition figures like Bobby Cs ones and Adam's ones because of hot toys failness to produce any Ledger likeness. The reason why there was a small minority who bought them was because

1. They were expensive, Bobby Cs head alone was 1 k

2. They were small in number

3. They were hard to get.

I am not sure if many folks will buy this one as there are mixed opinions on it. Personally I think it is fine because I was not expecting much, since the last 4 failures. So for me it has exceeded my expectations because there is finally some Ledger likeness!

It was only a small minority who ended up buying them because most people on this planet have low standards and accept what hot toys gives them and the other reason was they were expensive. I mean Bobby C's sculpt was made out of silicon and he charged 1 k for just the head.
I'm not sure that I'm the one who doesn't get it here. You said that HT should have tried a different sculptor. I said, there was little reason based on sales and general critical consensus. Custom figures are not going to provide serious competition to Hot Toys. You don't seem to be arguing those points, but trying to argue something else. From HT's standpoint, it doesn't matter if HT's figures are inaccurate somehow in the eyes of a handful of boardies here as long as they sell well.

They went after Kato, which should be enough to appease those who had issue with previous tailoring efforts. If folks still think the sculpt is too off, then they can pay a grand for a custom sculpt or do without. I'm sure that HT won't lose much sleep over it.

Wishful thinking indeed. This one just seems to have a bit more evidence as a backbone.

I agree though, Jack should have came with an extra head.

But given, like I said the track record of Ledger Jokers having a second head (all releases but the V1). It's quite a possibility.

:lol I've had conversations with Dave about sigs. He actually applauded this one.

Back on Topic, if by some strange grace of something divine this comes in around $250 then I think you'll see it sell out quick even from those who have all of them before and customizers the same.
