If there isn't a second HS I'm really hoping the accessories and outfit carry this thing for me.

The Head-sculpt and the outfit have already won me over its too late for me, I do and don't understand the naysayers for this the naysayers hate the idea that they've spent money on a DX01 and are annoyed that this new one blows the DX01 out of the water and just don't want to admit it.

I can understand that. I get annoyed when someone brings out something else of something I've already bought being a NECA and old school McFarlane fan, NECA sometimes bring stuff out that beats McFarlane that I already own.

i think the head sculpt is better than the dx01 but i dont like the expression. gonna get it any way

I'm not sure that I'm the one who doesn't get it here. You said that HT should have tried a different sculptor. I said, there was little reason based on sales and general critical consensus. Custom figures are not going to provide serious competition to Hot Toys. You don't seem to be arguing those points, but trying to argue something else. From HT's standpoint, it doesn't matter if HT's figures are inaccurate somehow in the eyes of a handful of boardies here as long as they sell well.

They went after Kato, which should be enough to appease those who had issue with previous tailoring efforts. If folks still think the sculpt is too off, then they can pay a grand for a custom sculpt or do without. I'm sure that HT won't lose much sleep over it.

I am not the only one who said they should try a different sculptor, you seem to be arguing on marketing and sales and what sells for hot toys to make a profit. I am more interested in aesthetics and do not care what sheep are out there that buy hot toys figures no matter how bad they are.

I know hot toys doesn't care, they are only interested in making money, so of course they will not lose sleep over people that buy high quality sculpts.

I guess you thought I meant that hot toys was facing competition from custom sculptors so they were scared. No I meant the fans were upset with hot toys and the custom made figures became a hot topic because people were desperate for Ledger likeness. Of course this did not matter to hot toys because there were plenty of people that wanted their inaccurate and poor tailoring figures over the small number of people that had taste.

The DX01 has nothing to do with it. :lol

It's the bang for your buck. Yeah, the clothing is awesome. (which is for me, at the moment, the biggest reason to buy it.)

I have all of HT's jokers, the rereleases don't bother me. If I don't like it I won't buy it. :dunno

the small number of people that had taste.
Or rather, the small number who want 100% accurate figures and will never be satisfied with much less. Nothing against that, but HT has put out plenty of fine, inaccurate figures over the years. Joker doesn't take the cake, either. Look at their Big Chap or Predator figures. Extremely well done, but NECA figures are often technically more accurate.

I can agree with that.

someone should make this happen.

A while ago, void and I already have that idea. I asked Trevor, and as much as he liked the characters, he can't do them, as he's working for sideshow, and with sideshow getting the dc license and partnering up with HT, its just not ethical for him to offer/ take up on the project.

Cool. I like it.

This is the mob scene make up right? It is a little hard to tell if the right side of his eye is smeared due to the profile shot.

If it isn't than it is possible there is only one sculpt but that would mean the interrogation sculpt would be in the full costume, which is not accurate to the movie.

:dunno

I think it looks great. People should stop whining and complaining about everything. Just wait before the full reveal . Then you can judge it
