Wish I didn't sell mine... I'm having a rough time wanting to spend money to get him back. Hopefully I can find someone who wants to trade him at some point.

Just changed up the pose a little.

^^ That looks like it was taken in the temple!

I just put the HT and SSC idols side by side for the first time and jeez that HT one is REALLY gold, almost orange, compared to the SSC one which is really quite a pale C-3PO type gold.

Yeah, I don't think either of them are quite right. Maybe the one that came with Belloq. It's somewhere in the middle, but closer to Sideshow's pale yellow

And neither one of them have the eyes right. Rewatch the movie on blu-ray and you'll notice that they eyes look real, and aren't gold, like the rest of the statue.

I think there were actually two different prop used, one has the reaalistic lookng eyes (which were originally intended to move) and the other has all gold eyes.

Yep.

Although I think it's extremely cool that thanks to the super high resolution of BluRay, we are able to actually notice this for the first time (possibly) ever!

Thanks!

I dont even have the HT idol base that came with Indy anymore. I sold it off since I got the SS version. I felt they really cheaped out on that base from HT.

Thanks!

Yeah, I bought two of the HT ones really cheap when they were plentiful and plan to eventually blend them to build a screen accurate one. Neither the SSC nor HT bases are screen accurate (not wide enough etc.,) though the SSC overall is great display and has the better sculpt.

This screenshot is from the DVD and you can see them here:

Does anyone know how to get rid of the weird, piss-yellow stain which goes down the middle of this figure's shirt?

I just got mine. I love him. A piece that I can see past the likeness issue's which is kind of rare for me.

I just love the outfit and all the little details. In a detolf with the lights shining down you can hardly see his face with the fedora on anyway, just this sort of shadow of indie. It looks really good though.

Happy I got him and at $230 shipped brand new - a steal I reckon.

I felt the same exact way. Likeness is important for me but there is too much win about this figure that I had to have him.
