Wow, that is one packed shelf! Looks kinda neat though. Reminds me of those DC and Marvel posters you see of all the characters together. Almost like a photo op.

I would have if a) it wasn't so expensive and b) if I had someplace to put it! Iconic movie scene. Would love to own it but alas...

Why does he look amazing right here? I mean aside from the fantastic posing the sculpt looks good here and quite different from the others. Yeah I know lighting and the such but still...

Sorry to bring up old stuff up but the figure is gonna be new to me.

Looks awesome there!

I'm no expert but it looks like his face could be possibly tweaked in Photoshop - the light looks off on his face. His eyebrows look more squinted and he has a slight smirk. Either that or he's amended the eye's somehow. They don't look sunk in like usual.

Is this an actual members picture? Very nice if he's managed to catch a pose like that.

I love this Indy I was only looking at him the other night and giving him a new pose.

I don't really see all the complaints about the face?:dunno

As when you don't have the hat on to me it looks like Harrison Ford and even looks better when he has the map room gear on.

Yes the lips are a bit too full and the guy liner does make him look a little off when the hat is on with all the shadows and etc.

But I see him as around 90 % there and I'm happy with that.

I was so disappointed in the SSC version.

But I have come to terms that I am not obsessed as other freaks are.

You only have to read the rubbish in the Batman DX 12 forums and Luke Skywalker DX forum to see how neurotic people are starting to get about their adult toys!!:cuckoo:

I love the figure but I make no excuses for it. The likeness is pretty off. I'd say he's about 60-70%. It's there but not without some mods. And even the mods will only get him up to about the 85% range. But I knew that when I bought it so I made m,y piece with it. It's definitely a fun figure though. I will be gettig the WGP head though. :lol

Sorry. That may be my fault. :)

Dunno - There are serviceable Indy dolls available in the $20 range, and pretty damn good ones available in the $50-70 range. Anyone who pays $250-300 for a doll (or 1 1/2 dolls...) is neurotic - and obsessed. The complaining is just a by-product.

And for the record, I don't collect TDK and didn't even see TDKR, but an average person wouldn't instantly pick Christian Bale in that release DX12 sculpt unless it was attached to a Batman body.

Sherlock Holmes is on the case :lol

whats a "serviceable Indy doll"?
Just the HT Indy body alone on ebay will put you back $70-80

Hasbro 12" Indy... perfectly serviceable Indy doll (and yes, he was $20.) I love mine - he and Cairo swordsman face off. I even managed to get the Hasbro German Indy (even better likeness) for a great deal and put on the trad Indy clothes and it looks awesome. (fun activity - compare the Hasbro and HT jackets... pretty close!) They are great, very displayable figures for casual fans. They sold for $20, and will again, if they make Indy 5 (confirmed by Hasbro.)

And the "pretty damn good one" is obviously the SSC figure, which is between $40 and $80 these days. Yes, even just swapped onto a $10 Dragon body (SSC body too short making bobble head) it's pretty damn good.

I've paid that much for figures and I'm not obssessed or neurotic. :dunno

:rotfl

Let's all repeat that - over and over! It ain't called freaks for nothing...

Well, not around here we're not neurotic or obsessed. But out there... in that big wide world... people who buy $300 dolls - and then constantly upgrade them to perfect minuscule details or buy a slightly upgraded version of the same doll (TDK, T2...) - are neurotic and obsessed!

You have to be. A collector who has no trace of neuroses or obsession is not a real collector.:lecture

Im a MAJOR Film and Indy fan and dont mind spending $250+ on a figure once in a while. I had seen the Indy pics, but still got it because, hey its indy! (I kept by SST indy and hes now wears the HT maproom gear)

Im NOT a major HT fan who buys every release, just the ones i like. Although when you compare HT releases to the high end custom market like Rainman, Kato, Velvet Morning, etc.. HT prices are almost reasonable. ALMOST. lol.

I have the talking hasbro indy 12" figure, not bad for 20 bucks, glad to have it and currently have it in a tote under my bed:) never got the sideshow versions or hot toys as none are really that good or worth the asking price, but i'm not a big indy fan, I like him but not 200-300 dollars like him:lol I do however have version one t2 t-800 and will soon have the dx version to, for terminator I am neurotic:wink1:
