HT Predator 2 BATTLE DAMAGED!

Predators do have huge heads. I used to think the AvP predators had oversized heads but now I'm not so sure - I think it was those old style dreadlocks, that stick out quite a bit in some pics, confusing my eyes. The new dreadlocks hang by themselves, no manipulation needed. As a former sceptic myself I now think the proportions are fine on the predator figures.

The aliens aren't quite so good. You may have had the Aliens warrior in mind when you said they look funny - that one was a bit innaccurate in the shape of the head (yet they got it right with the BD P2 preds Alien skull trophy) and seemed even more 'alien' in its body shape than what would have been used in the film. They may have taken a McFarlane-esque interpretation approach rather than completely mimicking the suits. The dog alien is looking to be incorrectly proportioned too, the legs being too thick.



Oh yeah. Wolf was made too skinny. His legs look a bit anorexic. Still love the figure though, the face is fantastic.

Ok lets take the AVP predators as example. Take a look at their feet and hands, something's very wrong there. Clearly either their body is tiny or their head is huge...even without the dreads, same with their wrist blades or the huge ones at the side...they should be much bigger. Well, if HT followed the man in the suit format, their would still be problems, since the preds in AVP were goofy (bloody Anderson)

Bah, this is getting pointless. Either way these r the only up to standard merchandise their is in the market right now. I'm looking forward to see the PI predator and the A1 alien though, I might get them.

I think it's the dreads with the bendy wires inside that makes the head look so big...it's hard to get the dreads to hang naturally. This is about as close to the head as I could get the dreads:

With wolf predator, it's a combination of slightly slimmer body, armor that's molded on versus fitting over the limbs. The shin/forearm armor on the AvP predators looks huge in contrast to the molded-on pieces of the wolf predator. The feet are the same mold in AvP and wolf.

Predator 2, however, looks more proportional overall, as does the "lost hunter" from initial pics. I still love all the figures. Heck, all of Hot Toys molded boots for military figures look too small...like 6' men with size 6 boots. Ehhh...whatcha gonna do...

Thanks for the pics. Ye thats my point there with the boots...hate to say this but when I see them I get flashbacks of Barbie and Ken. I was thinking to get myself the Pred2 predator figure for a good price. I'm noticing Chopper's shoes have got more outstanding blades than those of Scar and Celtic...weird, was it like that in the movie?

the wolf predator to me looks more like a ninja compared to the avp preds. the AVP preds look like gladiators lol I kind of prefer the armor on the AVP preds, it looks more badass but the wolf predator makes a better fig. because of it's molded on armor. I'm just happy to have some of these guys

I also believe that P2 Pred looks the most proportioned. Maybe it's his shoulder armor and more muscular body compared to wolf. I always felt like wolf looked like he's been fasting or starving himself.

Love this figure, except that the left leg is longer then the right...I thought that was fixed with the BD release...?

Thanks. Can't believe how outdated that McF Pred is now, though. He used to be one of my favourite figures, but now it's like a Kenner when compared to that HT masterpiece. Makes you wonder if the HT one will ever get outclassed by a better 1/6th or 1/4th figure....

Near 100% accuracy to the movie, laser small enough to fit in the helmet, more actual materials, far more articulation without any visible joints, turning eyes...Who knows what the future will bring?

I bought Glo Paint and applied some on my Battle Damaged Predator and the blood is really cool glowing in the dark - and the color of the paint is exactly the same as the original green HT paint. When I'm going to assemble it I'll take some pics to show you guys.
