Okay guys, I need some advice.
I have wanted a Hot Toys Predator for a looooooooooong time now, but never had the money before, and I couldn't decide on which one to make my first Predator. Last April I had a shot at a P2 Elder for 150 euros at a local convention, but I was 20 euros short, so I had to say goodbye at my first and last shot at an Elder.
But the day after that convention, I saw that a nearby specialty store would get the P2 BD in that same month, for 155 euros. Needless to say I was happy and immediately preordered and kept onto my cash, but then it got delayed and delayed and delayed, and then the store owner told me that he was afraid he would never get his shipment because of custom issues. I was disappointed, looked on Ebay instead, didn't see any affordable ones (190-250 euros? Fawk that!), and bought some Transformers instead.
Flash forward to today. I finally graduated highschool, and I want to spoil myself with something nice and big and expensive...Like a Hot Toys Predator. I check that same specialty store again, and to my surprise, I saw that the P2 BD was back up for preorder with a July release! I'm insanely happy with this, BUT he also finally got his Wolf Predators for 150 euros each, and now I'm VERY conflicted. What do I do? Buy the Wolf now and miss out on P2 BD, or skip Wolf and wait for P2 BD to come in, with the risk that it WON'T come in after all, and Wolf being sold out in the meantime?
So which one should be my first Hot Toys figure and start the addiction? Wolf or Battle Damage Predator 2?!!?!

It's awesome looking, easy to build, and looks ^^^^^in' man. But if you want you should wait for the cleaner Wolf to come if you get a Wolf.

True, the Cleaner version IS sweet...Just a pity it misses the full whip...And open shurikens and an extra shouldercannon, I think...?
And easy sounds good and bad at the same time. It's a 150 euro figure! I want to be blown away and be amazed at the detail, badass-ery and complexity!
Except I equally like Wolf and Pred 2, while both have their flaws too...Wolf; not enough armor on the shoulder/arms, not enough netting for my tastes, tóó lanky, a bit too hi-tech in appearance for a Pred. P2: Not nearly armored enough, could use an actual loincloth, bandolier, extra skulls/trophies, better plasmacannon...

Sounds like you want the P2 more. That's cool too. I personally thin that the Wolf looks cooler. But that's just me likein' Wolf more.

True that...Would hate a repeat from my Perfect Grade Strike Gundam, which cost 200 euros but was even easier to accidentally break then a McFarlene figure...
And bah, I'll await other people's advice on which one to get. Or maybe I'll sell a few things and get both if I really like one of the two...

I would choose wolf over P2 but that is because I like the look of the dual plasma casters and and all the weapons. Having said that P2 is a great figure and way better than all the bulky preds from AVP1.

I would say get the BD Predator 2 if your planning on getting some more cash saved for another. with the P2 you basically get two versions in one and IMO they both kick a##. the wolf had two releases and with the cleaner version comming out you'll probally be able to find wolf in the future for a fairly decent price. just my two cents.
