Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Got mine last tuesday on the day of the DVD release, oddly enough. Love it, probly my vote for 1/6 figure of the year.

But for the life of me, I can't get his right wrist peg out! I've tried heating it, dipping it in hot water... nothing. The left one is fine though, it hasn't come out of the forearm and I've swapped that one out a few times already.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I'm not the first person to notice that his heads are too small and his legs too long, am I? Seems to be a common thread with the Hot Toys figures, as the same is true of their Predator 2 figure. I didn't really notice it on the Dark Knight figure until the film came out this past week and I got a chance to watch it again.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I noticed the discrepancies from the film, but they're all because of the base body.

HT matched the suit design well but their base body causes some of the problems.

I wish he were closer to how he should be for proportions, but it's still a sharp figure and I'm glad I have it.

Oddly, even in some of the press photos, he doesn't look quite like he does on film.

You've said it many times yourself. Most of it is camouflaged/captured better by the lighting. :)

No, no, not talking about the armor, talking about body proportions. Like in the movie, his head compared to his body almost looks like the one on the Hot Toys figure should be like 30% larger than it is to match right to the body, but in a lot of the press photos, the proportions seem about the same to the Hot Toys figure. Maybe there's a difference suit used in the press photos than most of what you see on screen, can't say. I did notice in the movie though that the height of the ears on the cowl varies.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I just bought this off the bay, I have been lurking in the DC Forum for a while and was just blown away by how amazing these TDK figs are that i just had to get one. Hope it's as Awesome as it looks like in the Pics.

Now I'm off to find a set of Jokers :)

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Angles, framing, lenses, and lighting can make amazing differences to how things look on screen. Trust me on that. I make a living as a lighting and camera crew for tv drama. Things never translate 100% in real life to screen.

The same with HT TDK Batman. Since I display my Bat next to my laptop near the window, depending on the time of the day, he can look really normal sized to wide.
