You've said it many times yourself. Most of it is camouflaged/captured better by the lighting.
Angles, framing, lenses, and lighting can make amazing differences to how things look on screen. Trust me on that. I make a living as a lighting and camera crew for tv drama. Things never translate 100% in real life to screen.
Amazing shots, did you do any mods? Your cape looks amazing, any mods on that / or any tips on how to get it to sit that well?
