Sorry man but I did ask what he meant by saying they looked identical. Twice. And that question was asked by two other people and his response was again.."whatever, they look identical". He took the time to reply to someone else discussion, one that was a direct answer to the question "how are they different" but saying they look identical. Just because he didn't elaborate doesn't mean we can't point out the flaw in that discussion.
I wasn't attacking him. I didn't make saying anything about him, I addressed his comment. That's it. And if after two oages of pointing out the many differences he was still unable to tell them apart(saying they look identical) then I said maybe hot toys are lost on him. I didn't call him names or dismiss him. I responded to his comment. His point, that he repeated and injected into an already running discussion that was in response to a direct question.
As for telling him to buy or not...he came into a public forum and made comments that he couldn't tell two separate figures apart and said it like a criticism of the products. If after pointing out the multiple difference he still doesn't see it then yes, I think he's totally missing the thing that separates hot toys from say neca. I said maybe hot toys wasn't for him. That's not a crazy outlandish statement. If he said he got motion sick and hated fast cars and couldn't tell the difference between a VW bug and Lambo I'd tell him that maybe lambos are not for him. Him he said he hated heights, the city, and expensive apartments I'd tell him getting the penthouse at a skyscraper would be wasted on him. This is the same thing.
I didn't tell him which one to buy, which one was better or worse or better value. I didn't tell him what to buy or not. All I did was address his question..(the "what's different, they look identical to me" question) and after multiple attempts to point out what was different (and him offering no explanation as to why he thought they where the same) and him still insisting they looked identical I made the point that I think he was missing the entire point of hot toys. Their business model. Didn't tell him not to buy. It's his money I don't have any right to tell nyone how to spend it. But he came in and asked a question and opens up a convo (in the middle of an already running convo) and after answering his question his response was esssnetially whatever.
