Man, Kuato has skills. Glad I'm in :)

Also thanks for updating us on the payment for painting Chris. Appreciated.

Yes, indeed, Kuato is top of the heap! It's been gratifying seeing each new version of my Jokers getting better and better. Chris C. (kuato) seems to subscribe to my own philosophy: Never be satisfied, Never rest on your laurels, Always strive to do better!

You know, Chris C. is really the person who got me started here at SSF 8 months or so ago... It's been a great collaboration, and I'm very happy he's willing to be a part of the crazy number of commissions I've got going!

Looks like we have the new tag team champions. I still like the British Bulldogs though.

So I've started buying most of the clothes based on recommendations throughout this thread, but I need some advice on the body.

I've bought some Sideshow 12" figures in the past, but never customized a 12" figure. I've heard that the Hot Toys body is the best way to go, but searching around eBay I'm a little confused by the different body types and ones that have hands or no hands, ones that have necks, others that don't and everything in between.

Sorry all, I hate to clutter up the thread, so if someone would PM me possibly? :) :D

Just get a Hot Toys Caucasian tru-type from a reputable dealer, not one loose. You can't go wrong. It'll come in a sealed package, with hands and a neck adapter. No problem.

To me, it seems like such a waste to put House on a true type. Outside of Charles Xavier, I can't think of a character that needs this level of articulation less (except maybe the zombie priest).
And the full TT is pretty pricey, so even at the great price Chris is giving us, after the paint job, the TT, the costume:
Head $20
Cane $15
Paint job $35
True Type $35
Costume $40
Total shipping $20
$165.00
A fantastic House figure... priceless. Well...
Which makes me think... Maybe we can agree on a costume and a supplier and see if we can get a bulk rate.

Only person I know that does custom clothing is SovereignStudio, and my guess is it would be more than $40 to get him to make House's outfit. Its worth a shot though.

I love the Charles Xavier line though :lol

I don't mean having the clothing MADE. I mean buying 20 suit jackets of an etailer has to get us some discount, that is if they can supply them.

Can you point in me in a particular direction? Every place I've found is Sold Out of the Caucasian Trutype set. :monkey2

And yeah, all told it's going to be pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for, as the saying goes.

You just have to keep checking around costumeball. If you can't find one, just wait. Hot Toys will bring out another version soon enough.

I think there may be renewed interest once Mr Howes finalises the sculpt and there are some pics. Plenty of time for that. Christmas is upon us and I don't expect an outcome till well into the new year. Youse guys have a holiday break too don't you? It's a time to spend with the family, and most of us have one of them.

With the ability to have the neck drilled specifically for a tru-type, it makes sense to get one, for me anyhow. Just easier and faster, because I'm slack like that.

I've got another idea for another headsculpt for Chris to do. Hopefully I will have a thread up soon :naughty

I expect it to fill up as quickly as this one. :D

You might be surprised about when it will be done. :D
