The god of thunder will always be superior to some geeky scientist guy exposed to radiation, any other talk is just silly. And no horribly ugly bust will change that. (i like hulk but cmon THOR is da man.)

Since Thor is a God, who is supposed to be one of the beings responsible for basically maintaining the universe, from a line that created the universe, there is no way that he could ever be beaten, unless somehow his divinity is lost. This Hulk beating Thor, and Hulk lifting Thor's hammer is total nonsense, written because the writer ran out of anything else interesting to write that would actually fit in the canon Marvel Universe. Pure sensationalism fort it's own sake. Maybe if this happened in a realm controlled by more than one other God that wanted Hulk to beat him, and made Thor weak and gave Hulk more power, then this could happen.

The Marvel gods are not ''gods'' in the sense of the words..They are just powerful alien beings that have been workshipped by the Marvel humans civilisation over ages.

Gods in the MU were only "gods" to the un-powered populace in ancient times. Mutants, superhumans, high powered sorcerers and advanced technology have closed the gap.

Really? I'd more equate this to the same way Medusa was beaten by being forced to look at her own reflection. The law binding Mjolnir says only those worthy can heft it. What it does not specify is whether or not those holding it can or can't be manipulated. Both Hulk and Rulk (who did it first Shai ) found a flaw in the laws of Mjolnir and exploited it.
