See for me I think the movie Hulk is as REALISTIC a Kirby hulk as you are going to get where as the PF is the Comic Version. Now fore I have always leaned more to a realistic style so I prefer pieces like the Maq compared to the PF. Not trying to be insulting just speaking my opinion.

The maquette could steal some of the Greens thunder though. Less expensive, great sculpt, and more detailed Kirbesque Hulk. Now I am not talking numbers or future value. I am just saying that some collectors may choose to get the Maq instead because of everything I just mentioned, and that could lessens the demand for the PF.

There hasn't been another 1/4 released since the original PFs came out, has there??? Only the 1/5 comiquette which, while it is nice, the green has certain issues. Throw in the fact that the Maq appears to be high quality sculpt and paint job, and I could see the demand for the original PF dropping, and since price is based in part by demand you never know.

Also, this isn't "wishful thinking" on my part because I have no interest in buying the original PF. None. While the sculpt does EXACTLY what it was meant to do, I am just more of a Keown fan then a Kirby fan. I know what the King did for comic book art, and I have studied his work, but if I had a choice between an original piece of Hulk artwork I would take a Keown or a Pelletier over a Kirby. It is an artistic style preference, and since the differences between the Maq and PF highlight almost the same style divide, I would buy the Maq over the PF even if they were the same price. I am in the hobby for the art not an investment, and sice I prefer the style of the Maq it is a simple choice. Again the PF does exactly what it was meant to do, but it just doesn't do it for me.

While the new Hulk Maquette will not increase in value. I do agree that it could effect the price of the old PF. Not only may some buy it because they prefer the look but they will just buy it because it's the cheaper one to get. Now I am not thinking that it will make the PF Hulk go from 1800.00 statue to a 800.00 but you could start seeing him go for 1200.00

I see that his value has already started to drop on ebay. He is going for around 1200.00. Hell one even sold for 1000.00.

One did sell for almost 2000.00 but that use to be closer to the norm. Now it seems his value is aroud 1200.00

I have to say I prefer the style of the Comiquette best though the hair style is all wrong on the green..(debate for another day...but red hulk is best IMO!)

I'd love to see a new PF but I'm not a big fan of the original goofy Frankenstein type Hulk...or the movie Hulk.

I'm not much of a comic art specialist I just know what I like.
