I hate this time of year, by the time I am half way through the inspection I cant feel my fingers anymore. Thankfully I'm only outside for about 15 minutes at a time. Still, 15 minutes in -17 is TO F'N LONG!!!

Yow. That's not windchill adjusted -17, but real -17? I haven't seen cold like that since I lived in Illinois. It used to hit -25 on its own and up to -60 with the wind.

Hey, you wanna know best part? Yesterday (Friday) my furnace died. Dead. Kahkah. Wont be able to get it fixed until Tuesday at the earliest. So when I get home in the morning, its probably gonna be like 30 in my house.




Oh, and even better, I need a new furnace. About $2500.00 just for the furnace alone.

Hopefully the repair will be able to hold through the winter, and you can atleast put off the cost for a bit. If not, it's a good thing you're a Kurgan. The burning bodies of the conquered ought to throw some good heat. Just makes sure there are lots of them.

i survived a cold winter like minus 15-20 deg with just sheets and a hot squeeze...the day after was pretty much hell.

That's what it's doing here. The temp got to 55 yesterday and it's going down. It's 40 now but the wind is horrible! Supposed to get down in the teens tonight. Brrrr!

Down here it was 70 yesterday and 61 was the high today although I'll admit it isn't common for this time of year.

Got toasted last night but the bar I really wanted to hit for the NY party was dead. It was set up for like 3 or 4 hundred people and there were three there with me. One beer and I was gone.
