For THE BEST Mai Tai's in hawaii go to the Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai bar.
It's on the beach and you get the best view of Waikiki hands down.

Maitais are for women! I remember Long Island Iced Teas at Moose McGillicutty's in Waikiki back in the 80's...THAT was good times! Then I would have to go over to The Jazz Cellar and listen to Steffanie Borges and Body Heat because two of my buddies had ridiculous crushes on her.

wassup. just checking in. I've had a few good drinks in Hawaii, but so far not overly impressed with the microbrews (Kona BC). The coconut porter was pretty good. Anyway, I am off to more action today. Hope everyone is good.

Check out the toilet bowl. I thought that place was cool.
Edit - Be careful, though, I slipped and hit my head on the rock around the "bowl". And a friend of mine got washed in to the "bowl" from the lava tube that feeds and drains it with the ebb and flow of the tide. He got cut up pretty bad on the lava dogs.

I didn't realize it was closed to the public, now. I didn't see it myself, but the other people there told me that a cloud of my buddy's blood preceded him through the opening. His wounds were superficial, but there was a lot of them all over his back. And I am betting that the water diluted it and made it look worse than it really was.
Still...I can understand why they closed it.
Edit - In that upper picture, the smoother area at the lower left of the shot is where I slip and hit my head.
