There may yet be hope for you. I remember when I thought you could be refined and still be a man, but I learned better. You are still young, though. So it is actually expected of you to make that mistake.

But if it was actually "whatever", then wine would be accptable. And so would girly drinks like Mike's Hard Lemonade and Zima. Men keep it simple...moonshine, everclear, whiskey, tequila, and beer (rum is acceptable occasionally if it is 151 and there is no moonshine, everclear, whiskey, tequila, or beer available). If you want to show a woman how deep and complex you are...drink moonshine, everclear, whiskey, tequila, and beer all in the same night.

Oh...and the college words like "copiously" are also considered to not be manly.

I have never done military drinking. Only a little college drinking.

I'm most familiar with poor, rural artist drinking. I am curious how it compares to military. I know that college drinking has nothing on it. Not that college drinking isn't impressive...what it lacks in true grit it makes up for in devotion.

Maybe in the Navy? I do drink hardcore, but it doesn't mean I do stupid things that college-goers are known for. That's just me though, there are plenty of stupid goings on involving alcohol in the military!
